Might I ask from where you are visiting the area? There may be places along the way.

Re: If you could only have one Dharma object.

The OP mentions a Stupa. Seems like that would be the end-all right? And it would probably attract other practitioners, and that is a big plus in my book. Well I guess that depends. By object, I assumed a small stupa you can carry around. At what size does a stupa go from being an "object"...

Re: Renouncing Theravada

What is a good introduction to Sutra Mahamudra? The Sakyapas will tell you. They're really into sutra mahamudra. They love it. But if you change your mind and want to learn about Ganges mahamudra instead: http://www.pointingoutway.org/downloads/tilopa.pdf  Or here is the bigger pic...

Re: Dharma Music

Thanks HAR, Contacting the channel was my next step. It sounds amazing and I would like to find more recordings by the singer. Lately, I have been spending a lot of time standing next to the CD rack at my local Tibetan import shop and wondering how many I can afford to buy for listening at work. Tha...

Prayer for Travel

I am going to be traveling over several states in the USA for work. I have done this more than once, but I have an odd feeling of apprehension about it now. I hope everything will go well and that we will arrive safely.

Thanks a lot, all. Things settled well that day. It is nice to know that a misstep won't always derail my state of mind. And it is nice to be aware of a great place like this that I can go to for such great advice and prayers.

Parrot Mouth

I said something last night that should not have been said. I was upset and performed some evil in speech. I use that term deliberately.

I attended this teaching.

I was wondering where I could get a digital copy of the refuge prayers recited during the webcast. Did anybody else see this webcast? Can I get a copy of the prayers please?

Re: "that resonates with me."

I have always taken a very strict view of this metaphor. Certain sounds aren't able to be heard at all because of the space they are being projected into. Others "resonate" well and are clearly understood. In a similar fashion, sometimes, due to our past experiences and certain mental disp...
