Singapore Dudjom Dharma House - FB: https://www.facebook.com/pg/singapore.h ... e_internal
They consider themselves students of Dungsay Garab Rinopche (grandson of Dudjom Rinpoche).
That's authentic Lama and authentic lineage.

Re: A different look at Guru Yoga

I'm not sure about Ringu Tulku's background. I've only seen him speak once. He spoke in English that's as good as mine. I like some of his books. But I'm pretty sure he's a well established Karma Kagyupa. Short bio: Ringu Tulku Rinpoche is a Tibetan Buddhist Master of the Kagyu Order. He was traine...

Re: Did the 84 mahasiddhas practice Ngöndro?

at the same time, i don't think ngöndro is mandatory and certain individuals can be persistent enough without ngöndro - if we are to believe that many masters have actually attained realisation without prostration boards and sifting through kilos of saffron rice :) I absolutely agree. That's why I ...

Re: Did the 84 mahasiddhas practice Ngöndro?

Great discussion :anjali: for first 10 years of my Dharma "practice" I was soooo against doing Ngondro..! You don't really have to follow that teacher who tells you you must do it. There are so many Lamas out there. "You can have many Lamas and only this one who was the most kind for you is your act...

well that's all is of course non-tantric views, because to create image of Yidam in tantra is part of practice and was performed since first tantras were though by Buddha

Re: DC Ödzer Chenma practice

There is Sutra of Odzer Chienma (Marici) which you can easily practice without any permissions.
There are also Kriya Tantra empowerments for Marici.
Personally never heard of higher yoga tantra practices but probably there are some.
Not sure how NNR practice is categorized.

Re: Wrathful Black Hayagriva

Wrathful Black Hayagriva practice from Dudjom Tersar is no joke! Without going into details - this practice is one of the most wrathful sadhanas I've seen in Tibetan Buddhism - so I really believe it should be practiced only with all permissions from Lama. Not only empowerment and lung is required b...

Re: Meat Eating Mantras

another method is closely connected with Yidam practice, you visualise yourself in form of Yidam and you perform visualisation of fire puja. Fire being your mouth and hands being "spoons", meat (or any other food or drinks) are offered to fire and you imagine that through connection sentient beings ...

Re: Most Powerful Dharmapala?

as previously written - the most powerful is Dharmapala which is closely related to your Yidam practice. However I'd recommend 6 armed Mahakala Sadbhuya (Chadrupa) daily practice as he is emanation of the mind of Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara in form of protector (also he is Lama, Yidam, Dharmapala and...

It's interesting fact that Dharma courses charged $100 per day or more, are so often turning to be run by some kind of abusive teachers

If you are about to tattoo image of Buddha or any Bodhisattva etc. on visible part of your body please remember you may not be able to visit some of Buddhist countries or pilgrimage sights as for some it is considered blasphemy http://www.bbc.com/news/world-asia-27107857 also from Thailand: http://c...

Re: Dudjom Dzambala Practice

this is nice, but many western "ngagpas" I met have little clue about Mahayana motivation and are just simply attracted to Tibetan shamanism. They look for exotic courses and empowerments for wealth, healing and power to get rich, healthy and powerful. Fortunately Lamas are smart to use this occasio...

Re: Dudjom Dzambala Practice

but Rinpoche is saying exactly the same :) Q: Is a ngakpa lineage more involved with working with the natural forces, the deities of the weather, the local deities? Do they have a more shamanic tradition? A: They are engaged in similar rituals and ceremonies as those in the shamanic tradition but th...

Re: Dudjom Dzambala Practice

I'm guessing that there's likely a different emphasis on this according to which teachers you have and what lineage. In the Ngakpa lineages of Nyingma Pema Chophel is correct in what he says. If your teacher advises otherwise of course you should follow what they say: but Pema Chophel is not incorr...

Re: Dudjom Dzambala Practice

"Without supreme siddhi everything else is only samsaric activity and no guarantee it actually brings benefit to sentience beings" Which is why every time we pray for siddhi we always pray for both supreme and ordinary siddhi. My point being that these are the same two wings of the bird as wisdom a...

Re: Dudjom Dzambala Practice

Common or ordinary siddhi are important for accomplishing the four activities when working for the sake of all sentient beings. One should not think of ordinary siddhi as being a second-place finish to supreme siddhi. Supreme siddhi (Realization) are for one's own benefit, ordinary siddhi are for o...
