Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Does anyone know if there was ever a book/booklet on the anuyoga Kalachakra that Rinpoche transmitted - the Changchub Dorje one? It appears there is in Italian: https://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en/restricted/846-guru-kalachakra-le-pratiche-atiyoga-e-anuyoga-2000000002583.html And in Longsal Vo...

A very useful book on the role of Tara in Hinduism is: Tara in Hinduism: Study with Textual and Iconographical Documentation by Bikash Kumar Bhattacharya https://www.amazon.com/Tara-Hinduism-Textual-Iconographical-Documentation/dp/8178540215/ref=sr_1_1?keywords=tara+in+hinduism&qid=1578071163&sr=8-1...

I think a better question is whether we are real.

Re: Diane Mukpo’s potent letter re: Shambhala

The thing I don't understand in all the Shambhala discussions is they all seem to assume that in order for CTR's teachings to continue to be taught there has to be a lineage head who transmits them, and that this person has to be somehow biologically related to CTR. Is this how termas work? What qua...

Re: Dzogchen Community & Yungdrung

I was just listening to Alejandro Chaoul on the Wisdom Podcast and he talks about how he studied both in the Bon tradition and with ChNN.

It's a very nice interview.

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Is the practice text for Changchub Dorje's Shitro available through the Shang Shung stores or website? He's given the formal initiation and the lung a few times.

Thanks,

Re: Yantra Yoga compared to...

I also always wondered about this. I study Hatha yoga in Krishnamacharya lineage and also follow CNN. I never delved too deeply into Yantra Yoga because it seemed a little too hard physically for me. But I was stuck by similarities between Yantra Yoga and Krishnamacharya's approach . It seems that i...

I've always wondered this. What actually qualifies someone to give lungs and empowerment generally?

Many thanks, and apologies if it is silly question. It was the only kind of formal traditional empowerment I've had, so just checking.

Many thanks,

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

I had a question. I participated in a retreat with Rinpoche where he gave formal empowerment of Medicine Buddha and Orgyen Menla. As part of the empowerment we were given pictures of Medicine Buddha and Padmasambhava that had been empowered with mantra. I wasn't sure how you are supposed to treat th...

Re: Energy stuck in the head, insanity, anger, going nuts

I also had tremendous problem meditating for many years due to many bottled up emotions and very heavy negative imprints from my childhood and self-destructive behaviors I pursued as an adult. I sought out Buddhism to help heal these problems, but I was out of my mind and couldn't meditate or do sad...

I have been there twice and participated in two online programs as well and had very good experiences all times. I think you are right that one of her big concerns is how lay practitioners integrate our practice into our lives. Before making some commitment I would suggest finding a way just to atte...

Just wanted to put out there that Rinpoche's THE SONG OF THE VAJRA book was really essential to me. I couldn't get my head around any of his teaching until I read that book. I am not a great practitioner, but it might be helpful for you as well. http://www.shangshungstore.org/index.php?l=product_det...
