Why not bring anger onto the path? If you feel you are getting angry, unleash that anger fully on your own delusions. Speak, out loud, to your own ego and rebuff it with it's own anger, especially if it's in the context of an argument. This way, you transform the unskillful anger into skillful wrath...

I think a good point is the idea of the "four exhilarations". These are eating, sleeping, meditation, and taking care of the body. Like, no matter what, I eat everyday.
