Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

the purifcation for others is optional, it needless in this case; and the 100 part can be done for purify specifically our samaya, using mudra also. something important is that shitro, in the ChNN sistem, is equivalent to GY, to integrate calm and movement states (shi, tro), that's the principle. b...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Shitro in this case is for purify our -we student's-samaya, not for the Buda. ChNN is perfectly fine, he can take care of himself. it is better to do ganapuya, and behave . ShiTro is also for purifying... but not sooo good for broken samayas i think - there are better practices for that the purifca...

Why ganapuja?
in the Ganapuja is the special purification of samaya indicated f.e. by the sentence: "samaya shuddhe A"
in some Yidam-sadhanas there also is this purification at the beginning

one of the most known samaya-purification is the Vajrasattva-practice from nondro

Re: Signs from the Dakinis?

Oh, I understood the quote. It's not too difficult to follow. Once you attain the realization of greater one taste and purify your tainted samaya, I suppose you will know. Or end up like Virupa who thought he was getting nowhere because he didn't know the signs and throw your mala in the toilet and...

Re: What's a "pure tradition"?

Pure tradition means the teachings of Buddha with lineage blessings, nothing added and nothing taken away. So: Vinaya applied fully with nothing removed. No unauthorised additions to sadhanas. No attacks on high Lamas. No giving empowerments after expulsion from your lineage. Expulsion of those tea...

@lelopa to grasp the sense of Greg's argument you have to empathize with the notion to inject (anything) into your eyeball. Read slowly and get the irony before seeing a hammer and thinking you need beat back. everything is ok! this time greg's irony is not fine enough to pass my strainer/sieve of ...
