Re: Mendrub and blessing pills

It's best to get your mendrup from your own lineage, if possible. One of my teachers says a Vajrayana practitioner should take mendrup every day. I keep mine in a container given to me by one of my teachers for that purpose. I take a pinch when I open my shrine for practice each day. I also have a b...

Re: Im too slow at Ngongdro, help :(

In a 3yr one practitioner broke down about a year into it and said to the retreat master "Rinpoche, I'm trying really, really hard, but I'm finding this all so difficult"... after a short pause, Rinpoche replied "What else do you expect, you've been caught in the habitual patterns of ...

Re: 21 Tara's - which is Ekajatis prayer?

I'm just guessing but I would not have expected for Ekajati to appear in the 21 Taras, as they represent the outer cycle of Tara and Ekajatic represents the most secret aspect. Different appearances, but may be related for sure. Like one doesn't see Troma Nakmo in the 21 Taras... does one?

This is completely wrong. If you are curious, I can point you to a reference that explains why this is wrong. Thanks, I'd appreciate you pointing to the reference to correct this wrong assumption of mine. If you have access to Khenpo Ngawang Palzang's commentary on Words of My Perfect...

Re: LN Ngondro requirements

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought that in the case of guru yoga in the ngon.dro that one does not need an empowerment because all one is doing is using the samayasattva to invite the jnanasattvas. This is completely wrong. If you are curious, I can point you to a reference that ...

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I always thought that in the case of guru yoga in the ngon.dro that one does not need an empowerment because all one is doing is using the samayasattva to invite the jnanasattvas. And one is not doing any internal practices that would involve any internal "t...

http://rywiki.tsadra.org/index.php/Nyingtik_Yabshi Also specific lineages tend to practice either the Khandro Nyingthig (lineage of Padmasambhava) or the Vima Nyingthig (lineage of Vimalamitra). Such as the lineage from Dzogchen Monastery tends to associate with the Khandro Nyingthig Whereas Sheche...

I find what you are saying is rather vague, at least to an ignoramus like myself. But if you are looking for information on Kalachakra, Khentrul Rinpoché is reported to be a specialist in this lineage.

Re: Info on Khandro Nyingthig

The Khandro Nyingthig and the Vima Nyingthig from the Nyingthig Yabshi are deeper practices than the standard Nyingthiks one enters after ngon.dro. What I have been taught is that you first go through doing the maha, anu and ati practices of, say. the Longchen Nyingthik first, then one moves onto ei...

Re: Karling shitro complete sadhana english trans

hi thanks for your answers- Yes I do have an empowerment and I do have a short sadhana. However a fellow practitioner asked me for a full sadhana. He is supposing it contains one by one the mantras of each of hundred peaceful and wrathful deities. He also has both Shitro and Guhyagarbha empowerment...

Re: Westerners who exhibited Thugdam?

Loppon Rechung of Mipham Shedra in Westminster, CO tells a story of a female practitioner who was dying. Loppon got permission to give her ngo-tro (introduction to the nature of mind). Supposedly, when she died, she was in thug-dam for several days. My PCP (also a Tibetan Buddhist) was called in to...

Re: Westerners who exhibited Thugdam?

In France, Chanteloube, there were more westerners who attained thugdam. Also CHNNs student B. Simmons passed away sitting, but I dont know if he was in thugdam or not. Yes, there was one who passed away in retreat, or to be correct, he knew his elements were disolving and asked to be taken to his ...

Westerners who exhibited Thugdam?

Hi, Just wondering about western Dharma practitioners who have exhibited thugdam (sitting in meditation for a number of days, after their last breath, heart area still warm). The only one I know of is Gerard Godet https://khyentsefoundation.org/patron-kings-part-xiii/ When Gerard died, he remained s...

Re: Physiological symptoms as a fruition of practice?

Last Dakini day I did a lot of recitations on my practice. That night I had a lot of violent dreams including punching my ex in the face (fortunately it had no effect on her). If there's anything that comes from this... it's telling me I need to do a lot more foundation practices and guru practices ...
