Re: Jigten Sumgon Chod

Would it be possible to ask for a copy of the sadhana when one has joined in yesterday's empowerment webcast? I didn't think I was able to make it, but I'm glad I was able to listen to it along with today's earlier teachings. Yes, write to them info@drikungseattle.org Practice video https://www.you...

CNR video help

Somewhere out there, is a video of Chokyi Nyima Rinpoche's teaching, where he explains how to do the 'expelling the stale breath' practice. Any ideas?

Re: Dalai Lama commends New Zealand prime minister and gun law reform

Dude, it is a huge leap from what he said, to saying that HHDL is "keen on guns for self-defence". An enormous leap, I would say. Well...his security carry automatic weapons, sometimes in full display. I cannot believe that I need to explain why His Holiness requires armed security and how that is ...

Re: Heart Sutra Mantra cultivate Positive Emotions Bodhicitta

Do you have a link to the version with the dog-pa? In this case, the Sanskrit word "hridaya" in the title means "essence." There are several longer and much longer versions of the Prajna Paramita, this being the most essential one. Therefore, the heart or essence of the Prajna Paramita. I recommend ...

Re: Diana Mukpo’s potent letter re: Shambhala

In a hedonistic societies like ours, an ethical ascetic is the one displaying "crazy wisdom". Trungpa was a shit magnet. Sadly his group seems unable to fix this on their own since they are so brainwashed and invested in this fake "crazy wisdom" narrative and the pomp of fake royalty. Real crazy wi...

Re: Empowerments are for life?

Tsok is easy and fun. What more could you want from a practice? Oh yeah it definetly is! Just mentioning there are other ways. It seems that quite a few lamas although they do tsok at the end of the teachings there sometimes is not some instructions tsok-wise. For example Garchen Rinpoche d...

'Stirring the pot' mudra

At the end of the recent long life ceremony for Garchen Rinpoche, he gave a shout-out to the live-stream students and wished us a long life. Then he held his prayer wheel in both hands and made circling motions with his arms like he was using the prayer wheel to stir a large pot. Then he pulled the ...

Re: Garchen Rinpoche: The Samadhi Empowerment teaching

I find this fascinating. So this is a form of self-empowerment? Outside of bodhicitta, is there no requirement for this empowerment since it seems to be a form of "meta" empowerment for other sadhanas? My guess is, that if there were other requirements, Garchen Rinpoche would have spelled them out....

Lama: "Are there any questions?"

Student: " I have a question but you probably won't want to answer it."

Lama: " Of COURSE I will answer your question, I Love You!!!! "
