Re: Garchen Vajrakilaya and More

I sent them an email yesterday to ask if it is Ratna Lingpa or a different one, and if there is a pdf or book available, but it may take time until they reply. There are pdfs of the Ratna Lingpa practice online i think but it would be good to know for sure. Garchen R. said yesterday that it was Rat...

Re: Garchen Vajrakilaya and More

I'm confused, I thought you were asking for a copy. So you have a hard copy? I'm looking for a pdf. Been in contact with the institute, looks like they are busy and it will take some time to iron out. Out of stock of the hard copies right now at the webstore. Jake Yes I have a hard copy, but they u...

Of Vajrakilaya you mean? I've been working on it. Maybe you meant a schedule for the whole thing.

Jake
It's Ratna Lingpa, with lots of additions. The online stream schedule for the drubchen will be posted as soon as they get to it.

Re: Garchen Vajrakilaya and More

From my end, it's a weird obstacle filled day. I may do some Achi practice later, wouldn't be a bad idea. I'm going to check back at 4 eastern for the empowerment. The question about the validity of the empowerment with major technical issues is a good one, I don't know. Any thoughts would be appre...

Apparently it is 8:05 am mountain time.
You are correct.
There is some chanting going on, but it is impossible to tell what is happening because the video is frozen for about 80% of the time.

It's not working well on ustream either. GBI has many problems with internet and if everyone has their cell phones on there, it creates problems.

"Another line of claimants to be mind incarnations of Ngawang Namgyal existed in Tibet, and is now represented by Namkhai Norbu, who resides in Italy."

Well the first person that comes into my mind is Shabdrung Ngawang Namgyal. I may be wrong though.
Thanks
I did an image search and found other statues very close to this.
Why the longevity robes, why is he associated with that?

Who is this?

This is a consecrated statue of a monk in long-life robes. Inside is a scripture with the 'old man' chinese longevity figure on it, a red 4 armed Avalokiteshvara prayer flag with two pieces of Amethyst. The hat has symbols on four sides. I hope they came out ok. Any ideas? It came from the estate o...

Re: Garchen Vajrakilaya and More

I'm taking the empowerment tomorrow and having a little trouble tracking down the Vajrakilaya text. It is listed on Garchen.net, but out of stock. Help! Jake I suggest that you call them, not email as they are busy, and ask if they have a pdf, and/or get the name of the practice text. And then do a...

Re: Harming spirits

Do you have lung for a Garuda practice? He subdues nagas. I don't like garudas. For some weird reason, I just detest birds, wind, garudas, and so on, yet feel better near water. So I think I might stick best with nagas. Also, if you practice a garuda, don't the nagas keep away from you permanently ...

Re: The DJKR Topic

Discuss your view of DJKR. I have never met him but I find it refreshing that there is a Tibetan Lama who does not take seriously concepts like 'rape culture' and 'patriarchy'. These are political concepts, grounded in a strand of postmodern thought originating in the 1970's and 80's unknown to the...
