Re: Unkindness at dharmawheel

My chiropractor ( which is what he actually is, not a chiropodist  senior moment there) and his family are going to the family cabin in Lapland for 'a real Christmas'! Seems a bit too real to me... Don't be an as*hole, Simon. We all wish you and your chiropractor a Merry Cristmas! Hop...

Re: Wherever a Buddha appears - the world is purified

It's invaluable, priceless. Nice to see your sense of humor showing, btw. :) Thanks! I am happy you are coming to your senses too. I'll tell you a short story, that my Buddha statue was bought from my Mother when she was in India. Inside the little container in the bottom, was some Lama medicine an...

Re: Unkindness at dharmawheel

Don´ t worry about the Buddhists. Everybody knows that E-sangha and Dharma-hell have a heart made of stone. It's still interesting from a scientific point of view, to analyse the psyche of the members like people like to do here.

All in good humour, folks? :namaste:

Please define materialism? Does it mean we are made of stone? No room for intelligence or just rock dead?

Re: Right Wing and Left Wing Totalitairianism and Fascism

Need I remind you that Europe was essentially occupied by the US after WWII: remember the Marshall Plan? As a young Norwegian, I am still grateful for the Marshall help. That´s the reason why we love the US and still buy weapons from you for plenty of billion dollars. But no, we don't feel occupied.

if suffering is related to physiological structures in the brain then how can suffering end without the destruction of these components?
Suffering in Samsara is too complex to just relate it to physiological structures in the brain.

Hm, the Buddha clearly said that there is the possibility to be reborn on other planets, or aliens can be reborn on Earth. Countless sentient beings spread all over the Cosmos.

Re: Former Pentagon UFO official: 'We may not be alone'

I don't understand why the UFO research is so secret. Is it to make the Pentagon gain more power? Are they scared their technology is not up to par with the visiting UFOs? "We may not be alone" sounds like a mystical innuendo in order to make it seem like something unbelievable. Anyway, the Diamond ...
