Yes! Thank you, Magnus! I looked all through the website and didn't manage to find it. Will order right now. Thanks again!

ChNN's Ati Lamgyi Ngondro: can anyone help?

Hey all. I've received this lung, and just now I was trying to order a copy of the printed instructions for the practice, but none are available; neither is the mp3. I'm not sure how long & detailed this practice is, so dunno if this would be feasible, but would anyone familiar with it be willing to...

Re: Not been feeling like attending dharma events

I generally have a lot of the same feelings as the OP regarding preferring private practice over going to Dharma centers. The only thing anyone's said that I disagree with is the assertion that obtaining more and more empowerments, including ones we won't practice or get full instruction on, is poin...

Re: Looking for Dzogchen Semde material

My gurus Khenchen Palden Sherab and Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal published a really fantastic called "The Nature of Mind: The Dzogchen instructions of Aro Yeshe Jungne", which is their commentary on Patrul Rinpoche's commentary on Aro Yeshe Jungne's Sem de teachings. It breaks down instructions on the nin...

Re: An Instruction book Dudjom Tersar Ngöndro practice

Thinley Norbu Rinpoche's "A Cascading Waterfall of Nectar" is worth looking at, although it's not exactly an instruction book. I second this ^. Also, my gurus Khenchen Palden Sherab Rinpoche & Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche wrote a great, easily digestible book on it called Illuminating the Path.

Re: Vasectomy

Not only is the advice that it's fine to get Vasectomy grossly inaccurate, it's also incredibly harmful. Someone who has faith in the teachings of the Secret mantra, Should never even dream of getting a Vasectomy. I was present once when one of the Nyingma lineage heads was talking about various ka...

Re: Donating one's organs at death

So, I heard back from ChNN Rinpoche about donating my organs at death. I told him, "Giving away my organs to those in need when I die is something I'm strongly attracted to, but since death is an important opportunity for a Dzogchen practitioner, would this disturbance of the body be a mistake?" He...

Re: Vasectomy

Yes, and then eventually you have a Blood clot in your leg and can't even sit cross-legged anymore for any length of time. (Oops. TMI???) Oh sheesh, you developed a DVT, Cone? Being an RN, I’ve occasionally had the passing worry about that as it’s always a concern with my particular patient...

Re: Donating one's organs at death

So how many of you are planning to donate your organs when you die? Not an option for me as I have had cancer. In the UK (and possibly elsewhere) that makes organ or blood donation a no-no. Although I appear to be free of it, medically speaking you are always in remission from cancer. Not cured. Ot...

Re: Vasectomy

Cool, thanks for the input! As an aside, what's the reasoning for such a young age cut-off for consort practice? After 26, your nadis start degenerating, 220 a week or so. Yes, and then eventually you have a Blood clot in your leg and can't even sit cross-legged anymore for any length of time. (Oop...

Re: Donating one's organs at death

I've just contacted Norbu Rinpoche to get his guidance on this. If it seems appropriate to share his answer, I'll let you all know his position.

Re: Vasectomy

Nope. You are too old for sbyor lam anyway, right? sbyor lam is consort practice? I'm only nearing 42, so don't think I'm too old for much, but I'm afraid my wife would not be qualified for it, so not in the plans. Would the procedure affect practices like tummo, done as secondary practices for a D...

Vasectomy

Recently my wife floated the idea of me getting a vasectomy once we've either had our second and last child, or once we've decided we're gonna be one and done. She wasn't insistent, so that's not an issue, and I can't help but sympathize with her position of all other methods of birth control being ...
