Last night while playing Dungeons and Dragons I had a lapse of mindfulness and spoke harshly with my partner.
Reminds me of this guy -'meditating with PS2'

There is a class tomorrow teaching them, but I would like to know of any benefits regarding our channels winds and drops and how it would help in spiritual realisation ?
It is an essential aspect of vajrayana practice that isnt usually a open topic of discussion.

Re: Guru Rinpoche and Lineages

Do all current Dzogchen lineages include Guru Rinpoche? Bon lineages I would imagine don’t necessarily include him. I’ve never encountered a Buddhist Dzogchen lineage that doesn’t have him in there in some way. bon is connected with prahevajra without GP? i mean, to be part of the transmission No, ...

Re: How to End Samaya?

I understand that, but I am not satisfied because it seems very limiting, restrictive, and apathetic. It just doesn't fit with what I feel Vajrayana and Mahayana is. I don't think you have to give back your vows so you can focus on sutra. I don't think it is really that hard to keep your samayas. E...

Re: Limits to Redemption in Each Tradition?

:hi: Is there something specific you're looking for in these threads? I want to know which Tibetan Buddhist school has more compassion and wisdom, which seems to be Nyingma/Terma/Dzogchen. It really depends on what inspires you and really moves you to practice. That inspiration is the precursor to ...

Which yidams can one NOT go to the essence with (G.Y.o.W.A., S.S., M., Ded.)?
Generally speaking, deities that are not from Anu yoga practices.

Generally speaking, deities that are not from Anu yoga practices. That is a really weird statement, what would stop you "going to the essence" with a non Anu yoga deity? /magnus Ok, maybe you mean "going to the essence" as in Rinpoches essential style of sadhanas? In that case Motova the Shitro pra...

Now, now, SW, let's not disturb Josef's mind with any inconvenient facts.
Yes, after all, it is much more important to preserve the status quo.

Sorry, Acharya, pointing out bullshit has nothing to do with preserving the status quo.
The irony.

Re: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo & Lama Tsultrim Allione: Shambhala's Sakyong Mipham

So, you are insinuating based on this story that it was CTR, as if there aren't any other alcoholic lama's in Asia (there are plenty.) That's quite irresponsible to do. Now, now, SW, let's not disturb Josef's mind with any inconvenient facts. Your feigned concern and thinly veiled attempts at insul...

Re: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo & Lama Tsultrim Allione: Shambhala's Sakyong Mipham

The pronouns here are very confusing, is this Chatral Rinpoche telling attendants to remove a photo of CTR/SMR? Or are we talking about the Australian lama? I'm assuming the former. He's definitely telling them to get the photos out of his room. it is probably worth noting that neither Chatral Rinp...

Re: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo & Lama Tsultrim Allione: Shambhala's Sakyong Mipham

I'm curious what teachings the are referring to. That's probably not an accurate statement regarding the teachings. A little obtuse, but I think he means the Shambhala terma, which if we follow the whole myth, goes back to Gesar and all the Rigdens of Shambhala, further leading back to when Buddha ...

Re: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo & Lama Tsultrim Allione: Shambhala's Sakyong Mipham

Why thank you Josef and you, in turn, can ascribe opinions to Chatral Rinpoche that you don't know him to have held but I suggest that you don't. I have zero interest in any of your suggestions at this point. In all seriousness, I think this is one of my better ones. I value your opinions about as ...
