Re: Empowerments are for life?
Vajrasattva most certainly requires transmission. At the very least one needs the reading transmission of the 100 syllable mantra. This transmission is essential for all Vajrayana practitioners in general but has special emphasis in the Nyingma transmission. no. hh jigme phuntsok has a vajrasattva ...

Re: Nyala Pema Dündul Treasures Holders
Hello All, Anyone knows who are and where can be found holders of the Nyala Pema Dündul terma treasures? in particular the Amitayus Terma. This new book contains a lot of interesting material about the Amitayus practice. https://shop.shangshungfoundation.com/en/restricted/839-the-long-life-practice...

Re: Terma of Adzom Drukpa
I'm doing a green Tara practice from the The Treasure of the Vajra of Clear Light ('od gsal rdo rje'i gsang mdzod) of Adzom Drukpa. Seems quite a few people engage in the practice. I'm curious about this terma. What else is in this terma? Any story related to it? https://treasuryoflives.org/biograp...

Re: Troma nagmo and rainbow body
So it is said that thirteen of the initial practitioners of the Dudjom troma nagmo sadhana attained rainbow body. And more attained it in the subsequent generation. What makes this mantra/sadhana/deity so special that it can lead to that, as opposed to all other mantras? Can Vajrakila do the same f...

Re: Tongue touching palate in Dzogchen?
In Dzogchen meditation does the tongue have to touch the roof of the mouth, or does it simply not matter? I won’t be able to see my lama for a while so I thought to ask here. I am kind of not paying too much attention to it for right now, just letting the tongue just do what feels right. It depends...

Re: gaze/open eyes/closed eyes
I see, thank you. My confusion arose from something I read Malcolm say a long time back, about how you are supposed to be in the state of contemplation throughout the practice, but I suppose that is when you have enough stability to be capable of such a thing. I was thinking of Rinpoche's Green Tar...

Re: Translations of the term "heart"
As we all know there exists the Longchen Nyingtik, the Vima Nyingtik, the Khandro Nyingtik and possibly a few Nyingtiks more. My question is about the term Nyingtik. As I know it's commonly translated to English as "heart essence". According to the Freelang online dictionary "nying" means "heart": ...

Re: Are Bonpos vegetarian?
To Mr. heart: There are vegetarian Dzogchen masters, unfortunately most of them live in countries unaccessible to me. To want to study with this or that master is actually foundation of vajrayana - we want to study with a root master we have special karmic connection with, many are there accounts o...

Re: Are Bonpos vegetarian?
So if I am an absolute die-hard vegan, where can I find a master that would fit with my basic beliefs? P.S. Please don't preach that my attitude to master-student relationship is already wrong if I want to study with a vegetarian master. I want to study with a vegetarian master, I want to study wit...
