Do you think is it immoral to own shares in a company that makes profits from its employees?
All companies make profit from their employees. I recommend Das Kapital for a more complete analysis about how they do it.
Not companies that looses money, or not for profit companies.

Re: Morality of stockholding

To be more specific - do I accumulate negative karma from owning shares in a company that generates a profit to shareholders? Regardless of the nature of the business of the company.

Re: Long term practice oppurtunity?

I am a college student in America currently practicing the Dudjom tersar ngondro. Beginning in the winter, I am planning on taking a leave of absence from school; I have no plans to return any time soon. For the time being, I would like to make Vajrayana practice the focus of my life. Does any one ...

Re: The "Alt-Right" is a legitimate problem

I get your drift but I want to have a say. I don't want distant bureaucrats and politicians making policy on the run, unaware, possibly indifferent to the outcome. I want a referendum in each country, let the people speak. Don't trot out another so called expert...not interested. Let the man in the...

That is less than 1%

Re: Bliss

How? Whenever I have a positive experience I grasp it as if my life depended upon it. I don't know how to not do that. What tends to work for me is to contemplate the empty nature of the phenomenon I am grasping at. FOR ME (Don't try this at home kiddies  ). For you: You will have to ask you...

Re: Bliss

It is not a matter of "need" or "want", it is like saying there is no need for heat to be hot. Bliss is a quality of Buddha Nature, love it or lump it. I seem to remember that Malcolm said it is beneficial to be in the jhanas while doing the positions of Dzogchen....? When I asked my Karma Kagyu la...

Is the bliss of the jhanas contrary to the bodhisattva path? Is it contrary to Dzogchen? Really no need for them. It is a consequence of... so why would it be contrary?
Does it not just consume merit?

Shaking hands with our beautiful monsters

Hi.

If any of you are familiar with both Dzogchen terminology, and the teachings of Tsoknyi Rinpoche: Do you know what the practice that Tsoknyi Rinpoche refers to as; "shaking hands with our beautiful monsters" is called by teachers using traditional Dzogchen terminology?

Re: POTUS 2016

I am convinced we are in for a nightmare ride. I do not think it is absolutely certain we are bound for new dark ages. Climate scientist Kevin Anderson is on the same page, having been quoted as saying, “I don’t think we are going to succeed, but I don’t know we are going to fail.” You guys are kid...
