Much like my stepmother stressed manners on the off-chance that the Queen would visit, I want to be ready for Vajrayogini in whatever form she takes.
We have expensive dishes and silverware in a locked cupboard. We're waiting for Tara to use them.

Are people just digging for stuff to be worried about? I've never heard a single teacher talk on this topic.
Several sources were given in this topic.

It takes more time than a few weeks to cultivate good qualities.

People I find are generally self serving rather than intentionally evil. Keeping this in mind I find it easier to forgive their rougher qualities.

In Tibet they don't seem to have a problem to have several Padmasambhavas around.
Why would they? It's a perfectly orthodox opinion to hold.

I dont think there is any great mystery here. Ok some like the idea of being Indian Jones battling through the Himalayan snows and finding the Guru who puts them through enormous Herculean tasks from which they emerge serene and wise, flinging phurbas and shattering rock with mantras. The reality f...

“Unlike other mandala such as Hevajra or Kalachakra, the Chakrasamvara mandala is still fully manifested and active in the twenty-four holy places in India. For this reason, Chakrasamvara and his consort, Vajrayogini, are considered one of the most effective deities of our time.” Could anybody elab...

You do not need to ask permission to take teachings from other lamas. You do not need approval to leave their company and move on either. This may be your own view, but I don't think this is always the best way to go. If you are fortunate enough to find a teacher that you have a good degree of fait...

You did the math? I've been in the Buddhist scene for 35 years. I've done the math. I know about scandals you have never heard of and never will. Not from my lips. Fine, but that's not math. Your demand of some sort of proof is ironic as you made little effort to back up your own remarks.

Buddhas, bodhisattvas, gurus, etc. There are also aspirations to personally accomplish something.
As I understand some(tibetan) will pray to Tara for protection as well
Sometimes it's a straight forward as that.

In Tibetan Buddhism, all those who have taken refuge have the privilege of wearing the maroon zen/shawl and some/many Lamas encourage this.

Amideva is just the Tibetan pronunciation of Amitabha (although I was told for a long time that “deva” here meant “god”)." Source: https://www.wildmind.org/mantras/figures/amit...

Pls be aware that Buddhism should not be mistaken as a religion. It is an approach to see things differently. Nonsense, Buddhism is clearly a religion. It's a unique and very different religion than others, especially monotheistic religions, but it is a religion. I'd agree with this, it is and ther...
