Re: Thoughts on Dzogchen without buddhism?

I think i will stick with ChNNR's advice thanks.Good luck on you teaching venture. ChNNR has taught on all these points, so from my side I don't see any contradiction. It is some of "The important preliminaries" list that i never heard Rinpoche teach giving that title. There doesn't need to be some...

Re: Thoughts on Dzogchen without buddhism?

The important preliminaries are refuge, bodhichitta, contemplation of death & impermanence, vow of virtuous conduct, matbe nonconceptual samadhi, maybe the 7 branch prayer. If a Dzogchen practitioner has forgotten about these points: prob good to look them over. I think i will stick with ChNNR's ad...

Re: Protections

Bodhicitta is far more than aspiration or intention. It is the fuel of liberation and liberation itself. Applying bodhicitta in action, intention, and with the wisdom of the ultimate meaning is the ultimate protection for all beings. Through bodhicitta we have limitless capacity to benefit beings i...

How tell, i really don't know. I'm as serious as i can, that i can say
Does your Vajra and Bell float in space?
No, my vajra and bell are symbols. Even if the material things where floating i would keep it in absolute secret, due to common sense.
Well you asked how to tell...

Re: Dzogchen and Mahamudra: differences and similarities

If he can't explain, maybe i can help him. Only Thogal practice which is present in Atiyoga can achieve body of light. This body of light, sometimes called Great Transference body (GTB) is different from the kind that the body just shrink in size or even disappear. "Body of light" mentioned by Sach...

Re: Dzogchen and Mahamudra: differences and similarities

Basically, Dzogchen upadeshas provide a path that centers around self arising bindu. They also put special emphasis on the importance of attaining a rainbow body. Whereas, the other lineages do not. And self arising bindu are known to all lineages, but that is not their path appearance. Their path ...

Re: Dzogchen and Mahamudra: differences and similarities

No, also the body of light is realized in the result, mahamudra. My memory may mislead me, but if I'm not mistaken I remember ChNN stating that the body of light attained in certain other traditions doesn't equal the rainbow body, which as stated previously is uncommon for dzogchen standards too. M...

Re: Awakening in the Bardo

Do individuals who awaken in the bardo (or the moment of death) attain 13'th-16'th bhumis at that time or only up to the 12'th? Thanks, Kevin... They wake all the way up. Some fall in deep unconsciousness in the Bardo of dying and wake up / reincarnate right on, somewhere. For them there is no Libe...

Re: Reasonable things to tattoo

Depends on what country you live in... 45 hrs of tattooing cost me the equivalent of about 200USD. I suspect maybe this is an error and you meant 4-5 hrs... unless you got one helluva deal. I had a former thangka artist do some script on my arm, and it cost approx the same. If you got all the work ...

But "God" could of ALWAYS BEEN HERE TOO...NO BEGINNING OR ENDING TO "HIM"....and we are Dependant Originally on this Creator Being.....maybe that's what ChNN means ?( And that's where the AdiBuddha (self created) comes in ?)
Definitely not.
