Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

So I purchased a Tsegyalgar membership, how do I translate that into actually being able to log into the IDC website and..do stuff? Re: Seriously approaching Semde on ones own

Nobody said shine is semdzin. Now i want to explain precisely the meaning of the semdzins and their characteristics. Sem means mind: above all here mind means thoughts, which arise continuously; dzin means to hold. If we do concentration on an object, practically speaking this too is a semdzin; in f...

Re: Seriously approaching Semde on ones own

Technically any dzogchen method which involves fixation on an object or objectless and is specifically aimed at discovering one own real state is a semdzin. Naturally sems de and longde class have many semdzins.

Vajradhara still has attributes therefore is not a dharmakaya but a sambogakaya.
If they consider Vajradhara a dharmakaya aspect should he have any ornaments ?

Hello,

I was just wondering if Vajrasattva is Samanthabadra or Vajrapani?

Thank you.
Vajrapani is an emanation of Vajrasattva. According to tradition Garab Dorje has received the supreme teachings beyond cause and effect from Vajrapani.
Vajrasattva has attributes, Samantabadra doesn't.

The state of Dzogchen spontaneously results from the Dzogchen practice.
We are all f****d then.
... that would make the state of dzogchen a result that arises from causes, no different from the other eight yanas

Re: Dzogchen // Middle Way

Quick question: Is Dzogchen contemplation (e.g. Norbu Rinpoche's guru yoga) a "middle way" between recognizing versus not recognizing an object? By recognition, I mean reacting to a sense impression of the object with a conscious (even an inner linguistic) affirmative cognition — like, "this is my ...

Well, they are primordially enlightened sentient beings who are depicted as blue skinned and often sitting in yab yum with their consorts, for example. How are they a resemblance of Shiva? Could you explain? When did Blue Skin ever mean being primordially enlightened? That seems rather like claimin...

I'm assuming nearly everyone participating in this thread has had introduction....the theme is 'what next'... Namkhai Norbu used to say that after introduction we repeat that G.Y method or other different ones until we have some clarity as to what our nature is. Then once we have some confidence ab...

I am curious if once I compete that will I be able to receive Dzogchen transmissions or will I need to complete a separate Ngondro? Or will it depend on the teacher? Most teachers I will most likely be receiv...

Re: question on distingushing mind from it's nature

The Kunjed Gyalpo view is only valid when one lives in the knowledge of primordial state.
To borrow elements from KG view while living in a partial view of a particular yana is dangerous and foolish.
