Re: deadliest mass shooting in the U.S.

The only way the market can force people to give up their guns is by putting legislation in place which forces all owners of guns to carry insurance policies on each and every gun they own. I fear that there will be lots of people that having built a personal arsenal for very long time, and worked ...

Re: Kyab Rig

So I often hear "rocks and stones don't have Buddha nature" where Kyab Rig is concerned, or something along those lines, Makes sense, kind of an obvious thing to say, but here is my question: If the Five Light arise from the basis, and all matter is ultimately the Five Lights, doesn't this mean tha...

Re: Tibetan Medicine and Tinnitus

chronic, persistent tinnitus is recalcitrant to treatment regardless of the system of medicine. this where it's important to know something about the "natural history" of particular diseases. just because treatments are recommended in textbooks doesn't mean those treatments are highly effective. th...

Re: Tibetan Medicine and Tinnitus

I would be curious to know how does TM view this condition and whether it knows ways of alleviating it. It is considered a wind condition, oil treatments for the ears are recommended, but not if your eardrum is perforated. Thanks Malcolm. As far as i know my eardrum is not perforated. I don't have ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

I'm thinking about spending a few months over the summer at a Gar/Ling, probably in Europe. I'm from Scotland, currently living in Nepal, neither of which has much of a DC presence. Being new to the community I'm keen to connect with other practitioners, learn from more experienced ones, participat...

Re: Pure vision, what's up with?

I wonder if anyone can tell me a little about Pure Vision transmissions (if I even have the terminology correct) and how they are received and verified. I'm not so much interested in how one lama might verify another lama's pure vision (unless that is part of the process), because I know that these...

Buddha-nature is a quality, not an object, and that quality is emptiness.
Qualities can only be thought of as existing in relation to something isn't it ?
So what is budha nature the quality of ?
Sentient beings.
And sentient beings are something other than budha nature?

According to CNNr you "finally become a dzogchen practitioner" when you have achieved the level of released shine or the ability to integrate with circumstances.

Not directly.
But will always do, at all times, through appropriate manifestations.
