Re: Power of Chi

I haven't watched this video yet, it is still early over here. Though I will say this that Chi is the life force that permeates the world. It sounds that this person has simply tapped into the Chi Energy that naturally flows.

Re: Patrons

I did not seek out my patron god, he sought me out. Before I committed myself to this path, a few days before, he appeared to me and claimed me when I committed myself to my path. What I mean by claim his, that he sought to aid me and guide me during my path and throughout my life. All that are paga...

Patrons

Hi all :) I have mentioned before that I have a patron god. I am not a Buddhist but I am considering taking on Buddhism as an extension of my current path. I know I have mentioned this before. Apologies for repeating. I am just curious if anyone else here who is non-Buddhist (if anyone else here is)...

Question about the First Precept

Does this refer to all living things. What I mean by this, is does it extend to the Fruits and Berries on trees and hedgerows. Does it extend to nuts and vegetables? The way I read it, that yes it does but I am seeking clarification. Any time I have seen the precepts mentioned in this forum, with re...

Re: Dharma Protectors

No Jeff, I was raised strict Church Of Ireland (Protestant). I left that faith when I was 10 and spent 5 years searching for a path. Which I found when I was 15. See my introductory thread if you want to know more.

Apologies for going off-topic, but...

...the 'a' in dhātu, with the line above it, how is that pronounced?

I imagine it be like saying "a-h" with a hard a. Is this correct?

Re: World must go vege.

When I lived in Toronto for 8 weeks I was vegetarian because I couldn't afford meat. I went back to meat when I came back, but am a vegetarian again now. Same over here in regards to prices of meat, it's high and a lot of people can't afford it. Apparently "entomophagy is the future" - ins...
