Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

Which text says that we should not point out the errors of tirthika dharmas? If you're a Dzogchen practioner or Buddhist, there should be no need . Yes, there should be no need but apparently there is a need, judging by this thread. Since there are no Christians (or whatever)speaking on this thread...

Which text says that we should not point out the errors of tirthika dharmas? If you're a Dzogchen practioner or Buddhist, there should be no need . If you're a Jew or Muslim, what good would it do ? You know yourself, to have aversions is incompatible with Dzogchen view. I can't remember which text...

Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

I think it's ridiculous to argue about the existence of God. We're all at different levels of understanding. To have aversions towards other belief systems and disparage them is also against Buddhadharma & Dzogchen. What exactly did CHNN mean anyways ( back to the original question of this thread )

Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

Serious interest in tirthika dharmas is not intended to survive the initial stage. What are you talking about ? You think I have a problem with this ? All i have been studying for the past 20 years is Buddhadharma...now a serious interest in Dzogchen.......i don't have a serious interest in anythin...

As a bee seeks nectar from all kinds of flowers, seek teachings everywhere. Like a deer that finds a quiet place to graze, seek seclusion to digest all you have gathered. Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

does not believing in god make man more intelligent? No way. It just makes man more 'modern' (I don't mean it in a good way) I never said that. Actually I said the opposite. As man evolved , so did his concept of God. Cave man probably worshipped the sun, moon & stars (example) Modern Man has a mil...

Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

Study Buddhadharma, and see for yourself how the idea of god in its many different varieties is dismantled and refuted thoroughly. I figured it out myself before i read Buddhadharma. I don't believe in a Creator God. But i can understand how others do, and i don't like to judge them...because i've ...

Cave men had no idea about God...
Are you quite sure? And how did you come to this astonishing conclusion?
I thought it was logical. Also i'm making a big sweeping generalization just to compare mans intelligence through the span of time....

Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

The point is, God, as seen by the Christians, does not exist, as can be proven by very basic logic If you were evolved a million times more than you are now....would your logic be the same ? Logic is logic, no matter how evolved one is, just as 2+2 = 4 in all math. OK...but being that you've evolve...

Re: Quote by ChNNR about Dzogchen and God - where is it from?

My view is that God has never been a separate, transcendent entity. But that he was created by us as a projection out of ourselves, into the sky, of what is actually entirely innate to us. It is a kind of category error, yes, though one that has given rise to fascinating cultural permutations. Yes....
