I think it's safe to say that we'll be helping sentient beings forever.
So we will be reborn again to suffer despite achieving the state of nirvana?
Buddhas don't suffer.

Re: Pure Land practice and Vajrayana (HYT)

The issue of whether Samaya breakers can be reborn in the Pure Land is cut and dried from the Pure Land side. It is entirely possible. Breaking Samaya is not one of the 5 grave offenses (Ānantarika-karma) so there's not even a debate. Even if it qualified as one of the 5 grave offenses, any school ...

Re: Pure Land practice and Vajrayana (HYT)

How many of you have practiced Vajrayana? Have you received anuttara-yoga-tantra or inner tantra initiation? Can you practice both? Can you maintain and purify samayas with Amituofo? Do you feel you can achieve rebirth there solely with Amituofo-chant? Can you rely exclusively on other power with s...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Does anyone have advice about how to do the Nine Breathings or other breathwork when at least one nostril is blocked, e.g. due to allergies or a cold? Aside from, of course, taking a decongestant or antihistamine. Skip it Rinpoche never advised such, especially related to a formal practice. He's sa...

Re: Amitabha empowerment questions

If you only receive the empowerment, then you still need a lama to transmit a practice and an explanation to you orally to do anything with it.

You also need to maintain the samaya everyday or you go to Vajra Hell.

How long does one have to repair their samaya in each tradition until they're guarenteed to burn in Vajra Hell for millions and billions and trillions of years?

Bon?

Nyingma?

Kaygu?

Sakya?

Gelug?

Your head will be split into seven pieces.
Can you expand on this please?
Then your body will decompose and you will proceed to hell.

If it is certain one is going to Vajra Hell, does one display any mental or physical symptoms?

Is there a time limit to purify the five heinous crimes or Bodhisattva vows?
If not, then why do some say there is a limit for purifying samaya?
