Re: Santa La Muerte

Tenma, I've bit my tongue for a while now when reading your posts. Buddhadharma is not a fantasy game. Please either work directly under a Teacher or content yourself for the time being simply reading sutras. As stated above, you're gonna get hurt. Several others have already made this recommendati...

Re: $15 minimum wage

Canada is mandating a $15/hr minimum wage in January. Most of my colleagues at the bakery I work at are being fired then, for the new wage, and all of us remaining are likely to be expected to work much more brutal hours. Go! Pros & Cons! I'm pretty sure it's 14$ next year and 15$ the year after th...

Re: Santa La Muerte

I was interested and I think others are too. Where is all this rage towards coemgenu coming from, most of the time he/she just broadens out conversations and makes them a bit better. I must have missed a blow out or something :P I'm just looking out for a fellow Canadian. You seemed to angry to be ...

Re: Santa La Muerte

Just another day on Dharmawheel. Is it really a day without dharma wheel discussions referencing Wikipedia and blood being drawn from live male penises. I feel like my DharmaWheeling is not complete without sufficient substantiation. Here are some images of Mayan penile bloodletting: https://ucfant...

Re: Is there Buddhism without rebirth?

I think there is definitely Buddhism without rebirth, because many Buddhists (myself included) only have a tangential idea of what 'Buddhist' rebirth even is, inasmuch as they/we can even try to say "sure, my conception of rebirth is definitely mostly orthodox, I just have a few questions". Its cle...

Re: Is there Buddhism without rebirth?

Relating to the earlier point about Ven Dharmakīrti and the inability of his proofs to satisfy physicalists/materialists: You actually need to agree a bit first before you can disagree at all and have that disagreement be a 'debate' and not a 'fight' or some sort. A 'Buddhist' debating with a 'Mate...

Mathematicans say 1 + 1 = 2 White Lotus says 1 + 1 = 1 Motova says how can it be 1 or 2 when there was no 1 to begin with? White Lotus, to play the game is to lose the game and I won't play your number game. Furthermore, you can't have a circle without 1. So there is no 1 or circles or mathematics....
