Re: Another Sangye Nyenpa Rinpoche

Maybe that was his intent. Perhaps. Maybe to demonstrate to people that they should abandon refuge, take faith in a God, and believe in an eternal soul. And smoke chillums. Kevin I hear they have really good weed in CO. Perhaps he is smoking Blue Buddha Bud: https://allbud.s3.amazonaws.c...

Re: What it means to be a ngakpa

Yes, a little bit of diversion is fine of course, so the conversation can flow, but at this point I would ask everyone to return to topic please.

Thank you,

Kevin

I don´t think it refers to Sogayl thing, I think it refers to the outrage about Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche´s comments and jokes on the facebook. If it were a reaction to Sogyal scandal, it would seem a quite late to the party. Just my opinion.
Perhaps dzoki, it's hard to say.

Re: Instant Presence and Physical Pain

I did not come here to learn anything, I am just a buddhist scholar who is feeling bore, because no one can discuss the definitive dharma with me. Now it seems clear to me that this dzogchen forum does not have the people I am looking for, my expectation is too high I guess, I will moved on as I di...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

I thought I should post an update, on the off-chance anyone was led to question SSI-USA's service based on my previous post. I contacted them and it turns out they had send all four of my items the same day, three days after I placed my order. Each download link was a separate email, but they all h...

Re: ChNN on presence

In general, people can become familiar in retreat, or semi-retreat, and then when they understand how to work with the mind it is easy to apply even in daily life, with whatever you meditation object you have, such as GY, etc. You are simply learning how to make the mind coalesce on it's object of m...

Re: Kyabgön Phakchok rinpoche

As far as what questions to ask, in my experience with teachers: ask Dharma questions or questions about medicine, astrology, divination, etc, but don't ask worldly questions (unless you really want to). Also be careful how you phrase things. If tells you to do a certain practice, you really should ...

It happens that many of us are able to believe political evils are simply structural, as if human nature itself were no obstacle.

Re: The Real "Dark Age"

I asked people to stay on topic, but apparently they have an inability to follow a simple direction. I came back and there are a number of off-topic posts here - after my previous message - which I have removed. Thread locked. People here do not have enough impulse control to stay on-topic. Thanks....

Ok, this isn't a Dzongsar Khyentse Rinpoche topic specifically, of which we do have one (viewtopic.php?f=116&t=27174&hilit=DJKR). So let's get back on topic please.

Thank you.

Re: Problems on Machig Labdron

First of all, you should ask Lama Tsultrim, your teacher, who gave you this transmission, and get the specific instructions for her. Aside from that just try not to focus on that too much while doing the meditation, and if you continue to have the same issue, just don't pay it too much mind, let it ...

Re: Will Oprah Run for President?

Same here. I just woke up one morning and the world was talking about Oprah for president, with no idea where this came from. Tonight I'm hearing they have poll numbers showing Oprah with a 10% lead over Trump in 2020, 49% of voters would vote for her over 39% for Trump. If Trump wasn't already pre...
