Re: Have you read "A death on diamond mountain"?

I read the book last week. For the most part it did not contain much new information that couldn't be put together from what was published in in the New York Times and Elephant Journal, except for the detailed backstory of Ian. The epilogue, where the author discusses feeling as though he may have b...

The Sword That Heals (my piece on the question of violence)

Turning Wheel Media, a wing of the Buddhist Peace Fellowship is devoting an issue of its online magazine to the question of nonviolence. I wrote this piece to introduce to an engaged Buddhist audience some well known complications for nonviolence in Anarchist literature. I apologize in advance for a...

Re: Philosophy isn't dead?

So, I wonder if metaphysics for Buddhists is really applicable or even useful for the aforementioned present day discussion in academia. The goals and premises are very different. Re: Re-stringing mala beads?

Thank you for the responses everyone. I think I'll pass on the elastic strings but I am happy to know that there is no danger to simply re-stringing it myself.

Re-stringing mala beads?

Hello everyone,

I have a fairly simple question. The string of my mala beads recently broke after about 13 years of use. Thankfully none of the beads were lost. Are there any specific considerations I should be aware of before I go ahead and re-string it?

Thank you,

Zettel
