Re: Nihilistic view

I removed some of the discussion that slipped away from factual discourse.
Possibly some harmless quotes that were washed away with other statements are left within informative posts. Please don't bother.
Thanks.

Re: How did you accomplish Shamatha in modern life

I heard the solution could be: in these difficult times a small accomplishment possibly has a karmic heavier weight than a great accomplishment in times when Dharma practice was easier, We have to struggle a lot for the faintest practice. Maybe such a practice is very benevolent. I love shamata but ...

Re: Test: What do you see?

Thank you both. I wasn't sure, if the rose is shown to everybody, because I simply copied & pasted it from another website. There's no flower in our smilie box. And I wonder why it is simply shown if you only type :rose with another : behind. Strange but nice. ... At normal size, I saw something red...

Re: Karmic consequence of having troubled relations with Gurus

... The gist of it is, I failed to express to others his level as a teacher. He is an amazing teacher and it's all pure Dharma, verifiable. But the level in which he wanted me to express, was above what (I think) one could reasonably say unless they had decades of experience in listening to the wid...

Re: Prostrations with tendinitis. Any tips?

My experience and Wikipedia says rest is an important factor for healing. Meanwhile you can visualize prostrations, which is a good training for visualization - and the feeling of devoted practice doesn't cease. I wouldn't dare to give any tips about how to move. I think, the best coach will be your...

Re: Filing a police report against spouse for domestic violence as a Buddhist?

I would like to emphasize on the karmic POV: karmically speaking you won't do a person a favor by allowing them to harm you. If you have compassion for this person, you'll stop them to harm you. Everyting they do to you they'll get back multiple times the longer this karmic seed rests. From karmic P...

Re: Heartbreak

LastLegend, to be clear this is not for me... So I don't want anything. I'm not sure I'm talking about an emergency here. I'm talking about how to help people who feel the pain of rejection, loneliness, separation, being "unloveable" as a distinct sensation in their chest. I experienced suc...

Re: LN Ngondro requirements

As someone who doesn't know much about Nyingma I wonder why such questions are posed online instead of addressing directly the teacher or the students of the teacher who gave the practice. Whenever I saw such practice-concerning questions online the answers differed widely even within the same trad...

Re: Karmic cause become gay

And I'd like to add, I don't see why being straight should be a better karma then being gay. A good life depends on other things. E.g. millions of married hetero couples have a bad life and bad karma due to their marriage. And I could list some good people who do not suffer because of being gay. As ...

So the answers are currently ranging from "she's the best" to "all tulku are fake". I have to say that this discussion has really clarified the issue. It appears that nobody here knows her personally or knows anyone who knows her. So we have no useful information. That’s about the size of it...
