Re: Chogyal Namkhai Norbu Has Attained Parinirvana

Dear students of Chogyal Namkhai Norbus' teachings, I don't know much about Buddhism, but I am sure, that Namkhai Norbu was a big teacher with a lot of knowlegde and that he brought much inspiration to the ones, who listened to him. I have a question and it shouldn't be disrespectful regarding the ...

Re: feeling happy

Sometimes, I'm happy out of nothing. But the same with sadness. Sometimes, I'm sad because of nothing. Sometimes people hurt me and I do not feel hurt. Sometimes I become very angry because of a tiny trigger - but fortunately this became less with age. I want to say: my state of emotional comfort is...

Re: Hello from Berlin!

... nebenbei ... I love this dictionary, because it grows like Wikipedia: https://www.dict.cc/?s=nebenbei I would choose 'as a sideline' for nebenbei in this context. You can also push the loudspeaker symbol and listen to the correct pronounciation. Pronounciation in English has no logical rules. Y...

Dear White Sakura, warm welcome from Hannover. I cannot really help on your task, because I'm not a native English speaker. So, I simply hope you'll find some people to talk to in here. If not, I believe writing improves the amount of vocabulary as well. I learned a lot about the language in...

Re: Authenticity of a quotation

Even my Tibetan Gelug teacher said something similar in his Lam Rim course. He said, meditation might be much more difficult for people in modern times now than it was for people in former times. But this circumstance makes our efforts much more valuable and effective. I think, he was speaking about...

And also myself... I can't live near to my teacher and I speak to him personally once a year or once ...

I can't judge which one I liked most and there are some more.

The Mistress of Spices - by Chitra Banerjee Divakaruni

To Kill a Mockingbird - by Harper Lee

Huckleberry Finn - by Mark Twain

And I love every book from Amy Tan, Erich Käster and Hans Bemmann.
