Nichiren states that "Without these two [practice and study] there can be no Buddhism.

Okay, then, the Nichiren school, yes.
The best thing I can tell you is just study. Some things I read sink in easily; some I struggle to understand. Other things I even have trouble accepting. I just keep practicing and studying, and hope I can remember to do my best.

I am much less active on this forum than I used to be on other Buddhist forums because I find the moderation here too slack. Discussions on interesting topics that I might have wanted to participate in degenerate quickly into bicker-fests with members nit-picking each other to death and losing sigh...
