In terms of very accessible, lamrim structured, Yidam centric programs, it's gold standard. Well balanced and integrated. Mileage will vary in terms of whether the online medium sits well with you or not.

Different teachers and lineages have different answers to the question of Kangling.

Personally, I think it seems fair to start out with a wooden Kangling until you find a teacher or a lineage that provides you with a specific answer.

I have experiences similar to Magnus. My practice was not working well in my previous relationships with spiritually inclined girlfriends. My current non-Buddhist wife is much more supportive – and I more focused and less confused in my practice. We've been together for 15 years.
