Re: ChNN on Jesus?

Please lock this thread. ChNN is sick and I can't imagine this thread will help his situation at all. Please have some respect for him and his transmission. Firstly, Rinpoche is (thank goodness!) recovering. "Sick" he certainly is not anymore. Secondly, I honestly do not think anyone (Odysseus and ...

I assume there are many other uses for the melong, but I'm sure they are secret and available only as pith instructions.

SoV is usually given during the lung for the Short Thun.

The lung is also included during the Anniversary transmissions.

Re: "highest practices" and anti-intellectualism

"Presumably you feel that ChNN is not so Kadampified, so how did that come about? I'm guessing it's because at least one of his own gurus had not been Kadampified, so how did he or they avoid that?" Obviously, Malcolm knows more about this than I. However, based on ChNNR's biography, His Root Guru,...

Re: "highest practices" and anti-intellectualism

... they never bothered to finish (much less start) Ngondro... So now, according to you, the various Dzogchen lineage ngondro are of no value? So Dudlom Lingpa did not know what he was doing or talking about when he taught/outlined the Dudjom Tersar nogndro? He never said that. He said people pract...

Re: "highest practices" and anti-intellectualism

I would say this sort of behavior comes from premature practitioners who tend to conceptualize their meditative experiences into the big obstacle of "I GOT IT". I feel if one truly had these realizations they could easily adapt them into the other vehicles and work with circumstances (as ChNN asks h...

Re: Namkhai Norbu and Vegetarianism

I consider myself blessed and beyond fortunate that the causes and conditions arose that have resulted in being able to practice the dharma in this life. A convert? frak no, never. Urgyen Dorje, like you I've had no support for coming across the dharma, not even a college professor who introduced it...

Re: China expands new measures to directly control Tibetan m

Tibetans can do what they want. I live in a town with a very large Tibetan population so I see daily the pain and longing they have for their country. They've assimilated very well into western culture, but you can tell that they truly want to be able to go home. That being said they are some of the...
