Hi Tim,

You know there's a dedicated Zen/Chan/Seon forum now (address in my sig).

I shall check it out. But of late I have had my head turned by Tibetan Buddhism, more so than I did when I first came to Dharma Wheel almost 5 years ago

Re: What Did You Eat Today ?

I'm an ovo-vegetarian Breakfast was fine, quinoa with raisins, honey and a bit of almond milk Lunch however was not fine, I was rushed, I was hungry, letting the day get the best of me, and I needed lunch, had to get back work so I had a turkey sandwich in a coffee shop. Re: Energies, winds, and centers: approaches to the cultivat

meditation does not make one better that one who does not meditate I take the word "ordinary" back. Please accept my apologies. No apology necessary, it is a good discussion topic, I just felt (and it may only have been me) that the one word changed the entire focus of what you may have been after....

Re: Energies, winds, and centers: approaches to the cultivat

The idea of children not having energy blockages is more AFAIK a Daoist one coming from the idea of pre-natal YuanQi and doesn't quite fit with Buddhist ideas about "energy" - agai...

Question; Are you saying that people with meditative cultivation experience are not ordinary? I will try to clarify what I am saying. Naturally, there are a number of "blockages" one has (as one is born and have body) that have to be removed by the way of cultivation. People with meditative cultiva...

Re: Energies, winds, and centers: approaches to the cultivat

Would it be correct to say that ordinary people with little or no meditative cultivation experience have no "direct" access to the subtle energetic structures whatsoever, nor their parts nor fragments? This means that one can neither "see" nor "perceive" in any other [than visual] way anything rela...
