Actually i don't like modern buddhist because they playing in buddha dharma .
I am just want to make sure that her answer to me is not the teaching of master dogen but the teaching of modern soto .

Hello Dharma friends

I have question on wake up sermone statement :

The essence of the Way is detachment. And the goal of those who practice is freedom from appearances. The sutras say, Detachment is enlightenment because it negates appearances .

What is mean appearances ?
