Re: Question about Sang offering

Re: Alternative to possibly toxic metal kapalas

Another approach is to place a small vessel of ceramic or glass in it and fill the kapala with rice to hold it in place .

Re: Alternative to possibly toxic metal kapalas

You can always coat the metal kapala with melted wax , as way to avoid contacting the liquid to the metal .

Re: Dudjom Rinpoche's collected works

Hi Alex
Does this help ?
https://www.tbrc.org/#!rid=W20869
It admittedly is only a link to the individual volumes themselves , will take quite a while to trawl through them.
Cheers

It seems to be out of print for many years , published by Shechen Publications. I tried to get a copy from a bookseller in India years ago , but they took my money but never deliv...

Re: Karmic consequences of suicide in the tibetan tradition

Regarding the comment of" tell that to someone who's had both arms blown off " , of course this would be a complete catastrophe . But I remember the incredible story of a guy born without legs or arms and only has what he calls a chicken drumstick for an arm. He is an absolute inspiration , positive...

Re: Damaru maintenance

I have a very old drum that was kindly given to me by one of my teachers. In winter the skin can become quite slack. A ngakpa lama showed me the best treatment for this. Get ash from a wood fire and mix it with water to form a paste. Apply it to the skin of the drum and let it dry. Then wipe the dry...

Re: Chagdud Gonpa's "Feasts of Chöd"

Chagdud Tulku Rinpoche taught some of the Chod feasts from this cycle when he first visited Australia in 1987. He did not give the empowerment then and said it was not necessary for practice of the chod.
