Re: Losing my religion

I angry with the mental health system. It's corrupt. It's run by a human bureaucracy staffed by ordinary sentient beings. That's a pretty bad combination and should warn you about how optimistic you can be about it. Though I might be cynical, I hope you're doing okay... I'm better. But these proble...

Re: Losing my religion

I can't stand this shit anymore. I can't pretend to have love and patience. If anyone mess with me again, I'll show them what I'm made of. To hell with loving your enemy. Absolutely, show them what you're made of! If someone is causing harm, you should stop them. Of course we should still do this w...

Re: Losing my religion

Life is kinda ridiculous, and when you lose faith in life, you lose faith in everything. I'm not sure how to move beyond that. It might be a matter of months or even years. Or even a lifetime.

Re: Losing my religion

I'm sorry that you are going through some bad stuff. Of course everyone in samsara is (for real). Being ruthless is not an option however. Being ruthless means becoming like Pol Pot or Mao or Hitler or worse (there is worse in fact). Or just becoming like Sheriff Joe Apaio or George Zimmerman. Igno...

Re: Losing my religion

Being a Buddhist is equivalent to being a pussy - not! 20 years ago I survived compulsory military service by reading The Saearch for Meaning by Victor Frankl and Thick Face, Black Heart by Chin Ning Chu. I need to be survive in a sinister dog-eat-dog world, no less ruthless than a military environm...

Re: Can someone with schizophrenia practice?

This is really something that an individual needs to work out with the support of his or her lamas, mental health care team, and support network-- which should include at least some sangha members. -Prasutagus Sadly, I don't have such support. I used to have a lama and a sangha, but due to some unh...

Re: "Dharma practice atmospere"

I think Rinpoche is pointing toward the importance of support. You support yourself by daily habit of practice, you support yourself with good teachers and vajra brothers and sisters who drank from the same bumpa and sincerely practice the same lineage. When you practice together some space is crea...

Re: Can someone with schizophrenia practice?

Particularly trying to visualise deities is not really a good idea when having a disease that usually comes with hallucinations and delusions and that is only stopped with chemical stuff that stunts the brain functions that facilitate these symptoms. Vajrayana has all those stories of deities appea...

Can you please define Vajrayana in this context?
