Re: red lion of speech Manjushri sadhana

I find that commentary quite helpful but the specific form of Manjushri that was given was red in color not orange.

red lion of speech Manjushri sadhana

HHK gave the empowerment for red lion of speech Manjushri in New Jersey recently. I was only able to attend via webcast and am wondering if there is a sadhana available for this practice. I have not found one in my searches.

Re: Kalachakra practice in Sakya

Here: http://rimebuddhism.com/store/books/kalachakra-practice-set/ This is the sadhana of 2 armed Kalachakra from the Jonang lineage called Divine Ladder, it is the same sadhana that all the Jonang Kalachakra masters have used to attain realization for centuries. Re: My cat dreams nightmares

the point is that HOPING for happiness will bring suffering and FEARING unhappiness will bring suffering. The mind that is aware of this is automatically happy, and so if we want to be happy, we need to let go of our hopes and fears. Sorry about the confusion! May all beings have the happiness that ...

Kurukulle from the Hevajra tantra

I was looking at the Uncommon sadhana for Kurukulle from the Hevajra tantra and noticed that it said the recitation should be counted on a mala of red sandalwood. This is very difficult for me to find, I think because there are a lot of fakes. Does anybody have an authentic red sandalwood mala and k...

Re: Kalachakra practice in Sakya

with regards to Kalachakra practice, I have little understanding but if I remember correctly the only unbroken lineage of the full Kalachakra teachings is Jonang - the six vajrayogas of Kalachakra and its Kalachakra ngondro practices. If you are interested in practicing Kalachakra as a completion st...

Re: Dream Yoga experience

generally speaking, most teachers I have asked or heard other people ask say that if you don't know the tibetan symbol you should use the roman symbol and it's not such a big deal since really we are using it as a seal and it is a symbol for the sound which is the important part - the representation...

White Lotus,

What you've said is correct to me. With my own understanding, I understand you to mean that when ignorance is no longer operational, what is operational is the clarity of the mind.

Re: Coincidences freaking me out

Hi Konchog1, First, dont believe anything that people say about this being a psychological condition and something wrong with you due to your karma. In fact, this type of perception is a blessing. Now, I'm not saying that all of the things you give meaning have "meaning" or are significant or big de...

i think H.E. means that what is online of his empowerments is online due to his approval and he is not sure if other teachers also approve of students receiving empowerments via their online footage.

Re: Cessation of the Alaya Vijnana.

isn't the entire point of buddha nature that it is continuous due to the inseparability of emptiness and form, as well as emptiness and compassion? this 'continuity' is ambiguous. after the state of the great icchantica is attained, it is no longer possible to look within, and so there is a cessati...

Re: Protection chords

i once watched one of my gurus make a protection cord: there is a prayer, and then the cord is blown on. if you regard your guru or whoever is giving the protection cord as a nirmanakaya emanation, then the cord transfers some of that energy to you. that is, the energy of the three kayas. also, blow...

Re: Is the Sikh religion influenced by (even based on) Dzogc

(minus the unverified connections which have been mentioned, i'm interested in those, but frankly, they sound like hearsay at this point). .but the actual connection still seems pretty tenuous. . If tertons of Guru Rinpoche, who are considered to be emanations of Guru Rinpoche, say that Guru Nanak ...

Re: Possible confusion regarding language - Dharmadhatu

nature of mind is unchanging. dont worry about the nature of mind until you reach that level, at which point your guru will introduce you to the nature of mind, directly. no, only our misconceptions change based on what we say, the nature of mind, and dharmata, do not. If you feel that way about you...

Re: Possible confusion regarding language - Dharmadhatu

Regarding the nature of awareness... "Your" awareness is in a state of dumbfoundedness. Awareness itself is the unborn naked state in which dzogchen, as the Great Perfection, is perceivable, but no "one" perceives it. Awareness is unborn because it is primordial. It is inseparable from space. Awaren...

Re: Possible confusion regarding language - Dharmadhatu

Dont worry about Dzogchen. Dzogchen is the last piece of the puzzle and it's only helpful to see the last piece once you have the foundation to accept what it is. For now just enjoy the different pieces, and know that at the heart of it, everything is all perfect!

Re: Chenrezig practice question

actually, i've read that if one is engaged in daily commitment practice - like if you have a commitment to say however many om mani's you feel like per day (such like the dalai lama might request of one of his students) - and one cannot attend a 1 week, 3 month, or however long retreat concentrating...
