Re: Dakini Script?
I think it is interesting to know that there are published syllabary texts about Khandro scripts, with their various "graphic families" or styles, as well as some transcriptions which make things intelligible. Thus, for instance, some of Tertön Khopung Lodrö Thokme's symbolic scripts are actually no...

Re: Dakini Script?
Ah, thank you. So female tertons = okay, the title "Lingma," not so much. Exactly. But no, instead of "not so much", it should be "not at all". In addition to the female tertons mentioned here by others, there is the famed Jo-mo sman-mo, and closer to us bDe-chen dbang-mo (1868–1927), as well as mo...

Re: Dakini Script?
Real info is important. Well thank you for informing people about the illegitimacy of this lineage. Kevin You are welcome. I have previously had some very interesting discussions about Aro previously on DW (I can't remember the thread though) with one person who was a former Aro-ist (if I'm not mis...

Re: Dakini Script?
Dear Mutsuk, I don't disagree with your points at all. I just wanted to point out that when you write something like the following:... You get this:...You dependently originate bad feelings and conflict with that kind of approach. Agreed, I am just answering Simon with the same condescending/sarcas...

Re: Dakini Script?
I am not sure which part of 'take it or leave it' you do not understand. On the contrary, I am sure that what you do not understand is what is kosher and what is not. Your reply was sadly so predictable. I care as much about your feelings on the matter, as you care about mine. 8-) Well, the problem...

Oh dear. It's time for the annual Festival Of Outrage concerning the Aro gTer. No, it's the festival of defending dharma hoax. You won the crown. Then I met actual Aro gTer people and my assumptions were challenged. (As incidentally and more importantly have been the assumptions of several teachers...

Then, please, next time ask Khenpo Sonam Tobgyal about Aro Lingma. If the whole thing was not a hoax, how come the founder has not shown the terma he is supposed to have found ? Can he read (and understand) Tibetan ? I am sure KST has no clue about the whole thing Ngakpa Chogyam invented...

Re: Dakini Script?
Aro's lineage (not to be confounded with the Sems-sde lineage from A-ro Ye-shes 'byung-gnas, *9th c.) is fake because it is based on the supposed teachings of Aro Lingma, a woman said to have lived around the late 19th-early 20th century. However, there never was any Aro Lingma, and there was never ...

Re: Passing of HH Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche
Many thanks for this Lhasa! The old tradition Menri Ponlob talks about consists in writing the names of all Bönpo Geshes on individual pieces of paper and have these hidden inside small balls of tsampa. All these balls are then put inside a vase which is shaken by an elder monk until two or three ba...

Re: Passing of HH Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche
This is Lopön Trinley Nyima Rinpoche, the renown Lopon of Menri , Dolanji. I can't get the whole statement as my internet connexion is low and the video keeps on buffering, but in the part I've been able to listen to, he says that he's been asked by many people to make a statement. So he basically s...

Re: Passing of HH Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche
A book had been published earlier this year, in June, containing tens and tens of praises, prayers and supplications addressed to HH the Menri Abbot.

Passing of HH Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche
I just received the sad news from JLA a minute ago that HH the 33rd Menri Tridzin, Lungtok Tenpai Nyima Rinpoche, passed away earlier today. He was one of the greatest Bön teacher from the (pre-exile) older generation and one of the most knowledgeable Dzogchen masters in the history of Bön. It is of...

Re: Did the 84 mahasiddhas practice Ngöndro?
so do they have 100000 accumulation since 13th century or that part have been introduced later? it was not introduced later, it clearly predates the Phyag-khrid itself. on a side note it is above my head how anyone can accomplish such a task in 100 days let alone 49. i am doing 1200-1300 full prost...

Re: Did the 84 mahasiddhas practice Ngöndro?
Following the teachings of the Phyag-khrid (mid-13th century but the contents are obviously older), Bonpos generally do their 'bum-dgu (900 000) preliminaries in 49 days for those of highest capacities and 100 days for those of lower acumen.

Re: ON, A, HUM &/or A, OM, HUM
If possible i will ask this Lopon La If possible ? I don't think Lopon knows you... and how this mix has to be explained, He has explained that already, several times. The borrowings come from Kagyu texts that were copied by Bonpos. You have an idea of Bon which is totally far from reality. I canno...
