Re: question to the Konchog Cidu

Yes, I agree that asking your lama is best. There may be more specific dedication verses that are customary in your sangha, and it is good to keep your personal practice in harmony with that.

In the meantime, using a more generic dedication stanza is certainly not wrong.

Re: question to the Konchog Cidu

My text, which is in Tibetan, does not include dedication verses either. Perhaps there were not dedication verses specific to this liturgy in the original terma, but I do not know for certain. Maybe a more knowledgeable member here can comment on that. What I do is chant a generic 4-line dedication ...

Re: question to the Konchog Cidu

If you are referring to the verses which, roughly translated, express the wish that the wheel of the 12 nidanas, the basis of samsaric appearances, collapse for all beings, who are without refuge and protection.... ...those verses are labeled in the Tibetan small print as "monlam" which is an aspira...

Re: How does new DC member get access to webcasts?

Thank you.

Looks like it will take some time before my gar processes my membership, relays to web team, and I get my log-in info for viewing replays.

How does new DC member get access to webcasts?

I am a new member who missed out on the recent WWT because of technical glitch not allowing open access from mobile devices. I had requested log in information **before** WWT from Tsegyalgar East, but was told I didn't need it for WWT. However, because of the glitch, and not being given a log in met...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

I am disappointed, firstly, because of the precious nature of transmission. Also, since I am a new member of DC, and emailed the secretary at Tsegyalgar East to inquire about getting log in info for the WWT. He didn't supply the info, saying that WWT was open and did not require that. It turned out ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Tested to double check that YouTube works. It does. Tried clearing cache, but still getting restricted access screen when I tap the mobile device tab.

Really disappointed. This is first time WWT for me.

Re: What is a benefit of chanting in Tibetan?

My personal journey with this... When I was a fairly new practitioner, and knew absolutely no Tibetan, it was suggested to practice using the transliteration, to come as close as possible to the sound of the original Tibetan words. The rationale, as many here have pointed out, was the power and bles...

Re: The 9th Traleg Rinpoche 1955-2012

I was so fortunate to have met and received teachings from him on his travels in the US. His understanding of western psychology and intellectual traditions gave his presentations of profound dharma additional impact.

May all his aspirations for the benefit of beings be accomplished. :anjali:

Re: Next Transmission

I am a new member in the Dzogchen Community, and have not yet received my member ID, webcast log in info, etc. The folks in the office have not responded to emails I've sent requesting this information. I'm concerned about missing this WWT because when I click on the webcast link on the Tsegyalgar s...

Re: The Banning of Bardor Tulku Rinpoche

Byron Coulter, who was fired by President Tenzin Chonyi for refusing to order a staff member to mow President Chonyi's lawn, (which event lead to Bardor Rinpoche's resignation and resulting turmoil at KTD), has written an article: http://www.elephantjournal.com/2010/09/a-response-to-alex-gardens-rec...
