Re: 41st Sakya Trizen

I love this teacher. He’s special. I’ll never forget, when I met him at an empowerment, when it was time For offerings he asked, “where are you from?” Very slowly, I was stunned. I said, “I’m Punjabi, bless my phurbas.” Lol. He said something and Kyle had my phurbas. I hope He has Good luck because ...

Re: Wrathful Black Hayagriva

I managed to find an Intensely Wrathful Black Hayagriva daily practice. I don't want to do the practice until I can get some advice on this. According to the site you do not need an empowerment to do this practice.. I'm just a little worried about doing a wrathful buddha practice. I'm kind of worri...

How can I attain the end of suffering for myself? I don't really care about other beings anymore and want to attain nirvana.
Here you’re in Mahayana where this motivation receives the Rasberry award for worst attitude ever!

Not his student, but I’d like to be. He’s a Yangti master, also. He is tip top.

Re: Charnel grounds

Being alone the the dark forest is scary, too. In Czechia we have these old lost villages where at the end of the WW2 Germas have lived, but were either killed or forced to go to Germany when we were liberated. Soo I bet that those places with hundreds of years of history and such sad ending could ...

Re: Charnel grounds

Most importantly they look so chique with that skull over the rastas! But of course such dreadful practices as hanging around the charnel grounds, sitting on corpses could never possibly have existed in Vajrayana Buddhism. I guess you haven’t read Kalachakra. This is how mundane siddhis are attained.

It is that easy to create the connection. That’s right. It is that easy. why do you practice then? You misunderstand. These are for making connections. The teachings on these things say folks who make contact with the above mentioned stuff will be meet the perfect lama and be liberated in X number ...

Re: How to Liberate Others Without Them Knowing

You can’t really liberate people without them knowing, but you can connect them with auspicious conditions for their future. There are mantra that are known as liberation by hearing, and liberation by seeing can take the form of mantras, pictures, dance, etc. There are items that are liberation by ...

Tony Duff has a book called “Gampopa Teaches Mahamudra.” These are conversations between him and his disciples including Phagmodrupa. Really nice.

His teacher there was Serlingpa.

Apparently there are indonesians included in the lineage prayers of the kalachakra practice.

I've tried to figure out before. viewtopic.php?f=102&t=18231
I’ve often suspected it. The vibe there’s oozes tantric. I love Indonesia.

Re: What about Phagmotrupa?

He was a Sakya lama by the time he met Gampopa, already accomplished for the most part. But Gampopa sort of chided him and his deep questions. He redirected him into a pretty dang simple five-fold path Mahamudra. He started having new experiences and developed deep faith in the Kagyu dharma. Then he...

I also love Martin Boord’s, A Bolt of Lightening from the Blue. The special deal of this book is it’s Yeshe Tsogyal compiling the instructions of Padmasambhava, Vimalamitra and Silavajra for each point. You can’t get clearer than that. Superb text.

Re: Books that really spell out sadhana practice

Longchenpa is very clear. Does this require a transmission to read? Some think so. But the book is free on internet from Gyurme Dorje’s thesis. I honestly don’t believe there can be harm from studying a well-documented tantra. To practice it however would require initiation, transmissions, explanat...
