Is it a transcription of the Dai Gohonzon? https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dai_Gohonzon I'm not convinced. I checked last time I was on Tozan and the number of characters in the middle at the bottom of this picture is not the same as the Daigohonzon in the Hoando. It probably is a Nichiren Shoshu tem...

There are some priests who started training later but not many. Go see the trainee priests at Mutsubo at Taisekiji :)

Visit Taisekiji for the commemorative general Tozan, chant to the Gohonzon enshrined in the 5 storey Pagoda! If I can't get there then chant extra Daimoku

Yeah in Nichiren Shoshu we recite the prose sections from the 2nd and 16th Chapters. Generally the English translation used is the Burton Watson one. I do like the Hurvitz one as well though :reading:
