Re: Nichiren Buddhism Vs. Tibetan Buddhism

As a Rissho Kosai Kai member I would think that time would be better spent on practicing ways and insights into compassion rather than saying which form of Buddhism is superior. Many of you are very knowledgable about the doctrine and I would think it would be very useful to show how your understand...

Re: President Ikeda

As a Rissho Kosai Kai member I deeply feel that President Ikeda is at the very least a great Bodhisattva. One can not fathom the true nature of all causes and effects but the fact is President Ikeda has brought many people to the great path of humanistic Buddhism and for this he can never be praised...

Re: How seriously do you take Nichiren's writings?

As a Rissho Kosai Kai member I believe that you should take Nichiren's writings very seriously. Yes there was a incident where members of the Young Men's Division were sent to physically yell at and confront the local Priest in Queens New York. I was deeply disturbed by...

Re: Soka Gakai (SGI) Criticism Thread

As a current Rissho Kosei Kai member and as a former SGI member who was actually a district leader in SGI I find some of the comments here from Buddhist unusual to say the least. It was simple to me, I left NSA/SGI because I didn't feel it was appropriate to attack or rather physically confront the ...

Re: Rissho Kosei-kai

I am so glad to see RKK practitioners speaking on Buddhism on a general forum. I am a RKK practitioner myself and what I think of what is important to me is that RKK's emphasis is on constant practice in which we try and see every encounter that we have as being meaningful for our growth and others....
