Re: Guru Rinpoche As...

Is it because his own practice was so good that he self generated as those deitys?
In the same way as in the sadhana s which read 'your teacher in the form of deity'?
Is it like your teacher has self generated as the deity?

Visa only lets the lama stay for so long, that's part of it- but often then the lama may travel around and teach in a different town each week-some of it is ...

China takes annexed tibet and builds a train.
India annexed sikkhim and builds a airport.

And almost all of it is for buddhist tourists.

Re: If one dies while asleep?

This doesn't make much sense, and as far as I can tell contradicts the descriptions of how the bardo works. I cited the source, but I do wonder about it which is why I ask about it here.. I particularly wonder about this part: When you die in your sleep you have no chance to think about good rebirt...

Re: If one dies while asleep?

Consider the case of the late Alan Watts. He was a long-time Buddhist but then started to take L.S.D. He recently died in his sleep from a heart attack, very peacefully. If one dies while asleep?

If one dies while asleep is that considered a good death? I've heard that some teachers say that it is a very bad death because will not be awake to direct one's mind to a better rebirth. But I've heard laypeople describe it as having died peaceful.

What do you think?

Re: Monks and Tigers

Like we know , Chinese are very cruel to animals and they don´t care if tigers , elephants and rhinoceroses are killed.
.Understand that the Asian people especial the Chinese, eat everything and they see in general animals only as a source of magical medicine
