Re: DW 10 y.o. video msg from me (DNS)

A good stat for seeing the success of a forum is Active topics. However, that is typically measured over the last 7 days, so doesn't give a long-term picture. I've seen active topics over the last 7 days fluctuate from a low of around 40 to a high of 120+ here at this forum and others. Total member...

Re: Buddhism, and theistic religions.

Hello, I've probably asked this question or one similar to it, but didn't explain myself well... So I'll ask in this forum and explain myself a bit better. I'm a Buddhist and follow the Karma Kagyu school of Tibetan Buddhism, though I also like to read some translations of the Pali suttas and I lik...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Yeah I did three webcast retreats where he gave a ton of lungs for many things, but I'm not certain whether I got transmission of a practice or just the mantra. One example is Green Tara.Rinpoche would give the lung for the Main mantra's and for the 21 Tara's so you could practice the Green Tara te...

http://shangshung.org/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=74_75&products_id=756 Does anyone know when the transmission of this was given? What other Medicine Buddha practices does the DC do? I know I have the transmission of the Mantra itself, but I am unsure about what transmissions I hav...

Quality before quantity is the way to arrive, step by step, at a great 3 hour practice.

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Rinpoche always emphazised quality to be more much more important than quantity, maybe that's why he asked so few time of application (few counts), however, this tells me that it depends more on each one's capacity that in a predeterminated amount of time or repetitions. he said like if one is in p...

Re: Antifa at it again

The only difference between far right Militas and groups like Antifa, are honestly a lack of weapons. I would be very surprised if Antifa members didn't have access to weapons. So why don't they use them? Because they're not the monsters you seem to think they are. When you demonize/attack the peop...

Also, I forgot to mention, that it’s true that you are cared for in this space. Meaning that my life and actions run smoothly and sensibly. I just watch it happen. “...here sentient beings are cared for, And without any exertion we live in ease.” Did you get your teachings from a live Dzogchen teac...

Re: Flu Season

Teas work for me. Usually I take shilajit tonic or chamomile and mint tea with lemon. You can easily purchase those on the net and teas can be found in the majority of grocery stores. Still, I believe flu shots shouldn't be taken out of the consideration since if the condition worsens, teas and ton...

Re: Buddhism and Parapsychology

Oh no. No misunderstanding. My proper concern actually isn't with whether or not to accept rebirth. It is about the relationship between Buddhism and the teachings of the historical Buddha (so far as we can understand them). What do you consider the teachings of the historical Buddha?

Nonduality is just another extreme in Dzogchen.
Meaning that ‘reality’ is neither dualistic, nor nondualistic, nor both, nor neither.
Yup.Reality. This is well explained in the Rigpa Rangshar.
