Re: Christopher Wilkinson translations
I think this debate about whose translations are "better" is mistaken. The whole point of studying the tantra is to realize the meaning. It is like reading books about cheese or wine. You can read all the books about cheese or wine but if you have never tasted cheese or wine in your life,...

Re: “My mind isn’t like that”
I’ve had this happen in conversations about Buddhism with family members, and sometimes even when teaching aspects of mindfulness as a mental health skill: Often the person claims their mind does not suffer with the issue a given practice addresses. Some examples would be: “Oh I’m not bothered by i...

Re: My Short Story & Purpose Here
For whatever higher purposes such may be worth, I have always rather auspiciously too sensed that Guru Rinpoche and St. Germain are one and the same… I am not sure, however, if this is because they are the same soul-Spirit emanating or simply because they are at such similar levels of beingness, sh...

Re: Is there really a need for a pointing out instruction frpm
Why would you need pointing out instruction, if it is just the nature of Experience? This seems very unlikely. I know it from my experience. I never got a pointing out instruction, but threw information of Sam Harris and Douglas Harding I can recognise the nature of mind whenever ,,I‘‘ want. Probab...

Re: Is the nature of the mind cognizant of itself?
There is no "Cosmic awareness" in Dzogchen. Each individual's consciousness and awareness is his or her own. Personally experienced. It's actually a relief not to have to waste time or energy speculating about some kind of "Mind" beyond mind - it's enough (for me for this lifeti...

Re: I don't understand the first noble truth
I will literally kill myself if that's true Please don’t threaten suicide here. You know you need to call professionals if you really feel that way. It’s also not dramatic as all that, people aren’t in constant misery, but the stress, ennui and confusion is real. It means everyone feels like you ar...

In the end we practice the instructions from the teacher we choose. If the teacher and teaching is valid and the student's practice bears fruit, nothing else matters.

Re: Buddha Nature is a way to attract people
I remember being told by a couple of Jehovah's witnesses who were trying to prosletyze me that only 144,000 would be saved. I explained the classical Mahayana position that all beings had the Buddha nature and everyone would in the end achieve enlightenment. Man, they just could not understand that...

We don't know what is the practice like; like what are we practicing. we know it is don't know. yet we don't know it. so it is said just keep that mind and feel the joy within. which come in means that your time has come. agree?? We don't know that we know we don't know? Sorry,I know,I know,I know,...

Have you been getting treatment for this issue or had a blood work up?It could be hypothyroidism. This and many other things would show up on a bloodtest. A good diet is important. This subject on practice should be spoken of within your Sangha with a Teacher that you learned it from.

As long as you still agree that "there can be no active thinking during rigpa"/ recognition of dharmakaya itself. Can you define "Active Thinking" ? No, sorry, they are not my words. Notice the quotation marks - it was something that Heart wrote in a previous discussion....
