Re: Knowledge and Awareness in Buddha

I would say do it skillfully. I am doing my part to save all sentient beings by preventing CSEe and Hanzee from slandering the Dharma and creating negative causes and conditions for themselves which they do quite a good job of. I understand your kind intentions here. However, maybe this can be a re...

Re: Knowledge and Awareness in Buddha

Ooops sorry i typed this before seeing your recent post. This is in reply to the one that is earlier. Not to add more fuel to this situation. But since I typed it I shall just let it stay. Whatever it is, being practitioners ourselves. I believe, at least for myself, that my words are a reflection ...

Re: Knowledge and Awareness in Buddha

My apologies I take that back. I'm sorry.

But would you mind being nicer?

I thought that comment was too harsh.

Re: Knowledge and Awareness in Buddha

With complete respect Mr. Gordo, no offence. Firstly, being in a buddhist forum, it is only wise to be nice as we are all or at least most of us are nice people. Patience is what we are to cultivate, anger, hatred and harsh speech should not be tolerated. Secondly, you proclaiming yourself as a budd...

Re: Knowledge and Awareness in Buddha

awareness in my perception is measurement of our energy towards purity / emptiness - the Buddha . What do you mean by measurement of our energy towards purity/emptiness? What energy is that? Knowledge is only tiny part of awareness as in awareness there are compassion / desire / emotions /suffering...

Meditation/Contemplation/Visualisation Sutra practice

Hello, I'm a little interested in pure land visualisation practices according to the comtemplation sutra, anyone does this practice? Anyone can help me better understand how to go about doing this practice? Do I visualise all 16 visualisations at once or is there another way I should go about doing ...

Re: Are we on the right track in learning Buddha

CSEe, Here's some readings for your reference, http://www.buddhanet.net/e-learning/guide.htm (Don't worry, from what I read, I don't think these teachings are too hard to understand.) Might help you understand things from a different perspective, you don't have to follow them, but maybe just spend s...

Re: Are we on the right track in learning Buddha

Take it or not, let him be. Everyone faces difficulty when they encounter the dharma, I'm still facing difficulties. Let's just hope we will all find our way. What he is doing isn't wrong IMHO, a good enquiring spirit This to us, seems unnecessary, seems a long way, but if people like taking longer ...

Re: Are we on the right track in learning Buddha

Namo Amituofo! Hello, Correct me if I'm wrong, from what I see, you seem like you wish to be a Samyaksambuddha. Someone whos discovers the dhamma without refering to books or studies that the buddha has already taught us. Samyaksambuddhas (Pali: sammasambuddha) gain Nirvana by their own efforts, and...

Re: How to deal with cockroaches ethically in the winter?

I would say trapping them in a jar in your place would be the best and most ethical method, maybe give them a little food or something, let them age to death. But then again, too many in a jar, would they mate? Do they even mate? Haha, but i still prefer the idea of trapping them in the jar and let ...
