This isn't a book review, more of a book inquiry. Is Herbert Guenther a reliable translator? Are his books worth reading? His writing is so... ahem, unique. I haven't read much, but it seems he has some really valuable ways of looking at and translating things, interspersed with a lot of extra stuff...

What would you say is the best English translation? In particular, which would you recommend for reciting?
And, also, does anyone know where/how I could get the Chinese version in print in the US? I know you can get it online, but I prefer the "real" thing.
