Every illness has a negative spirit involved.
I dont believe that Tibetan medicine teaches that every illness is due to negative spirits; there are also other factors such as the humors and karma.

Re: rtsal, shared samsaric vision, “other” sentient beings

Hi all! So, if all appearances are rtsal manifestations of the basis of each individual, then is it the case that the rtsal manifestations are shared “vision” among samsaric sentient beings? Also, if all appearances are the energy of the basis of each individual, then how are appearances shared by ...

Dzogchen is the essence of Buddhadharma. Buddhism is fragmented into sects and traditions. Dzogchen is beyond sects and traditions. Buddhism is cultural. Dzogchen is beyond culture. Buddhism is a religion. Dzogchen is beyond religion.

Re: Big messages to deplorables ???

I honestly think that if Trump moved towards a formal policy of Russia as ally and Europe as enemy, 75% of Republicans and perhaps 90% of Trump’s base would cheer him on. America’s gone mad ... too much entertainment and tv/movie/vgame fantasy, not enough reality. This is how a republic ends, not w...

Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche on crazy wisdom, saying it should inspire and not harm, and if it does harm, it is not true crazy wisdom.

Re: Jetsunma Tenzin Palmo & Lama Tsultrim Allione: Shambhala's Sakyong Mipham

I dont think there is any great mystery here. Ok some like the idea of being Indian Jones battling through the Himalayan snows and finding the Guru who puts them through enormous Herculean tasks from which they emerge serene and wise, flinging phurbas and shattering rock with mantras. The reality f...

Now that indictments have come out for Russian military officers, what are the chances that the next indictments will involve Trump himself, and he will just stay in Russia with Putin since they get along so well? Or, what are the chances that it goes real bad, and having lost all our allies, Trump ...

Re: Lung Needed for Narak Kong Shak?

I am wondering if you can just do the main prayers calling the deities and confessing since there is no transformation. Would having Shitro transmission make a difference? Or would they not be effective without the full practice, entailing offerings?

Can the Narak Kong Shak prayer from the Narak Dongtruk ('Emptying the Lower Realms from their Very Depths') be said without lung?

I can't find it, but I thought that there was a scripture that said Buddhism will disappear when Buddhist monastics disappear.

Re: Is Monastic Ordination the Better Option for Single Dzogchen Practitioners?

Some have mentioned that long personal retreat is better, but I am one who could benefit from a more structured discipline, and also community. But, I am probably too old and have to many health problems anyway, but monastic life seemed to me a good way to have community, disciplined practice, merit...
