Re: spying spirits

Thank you Pemachophel.

Ah, then based on your reply to Javier, it can be deduced that a place where the SoV has been sung a quality/number of times, could replace said offerings.

Re: spying spirits

Pemachophel,

Is it considered sufficient to have the two types as sculptures setting on the shrine, and then visualize offering them?

Or should you necessarily make both kinds out of barley flour etc. every single day?

Well from what I understand, like him or not Steven Segall has at least some legitimacy.

This other guy though....

Re: Long life pills

Tshe-ril (long life pills) and other Liberation by taste pills and substances are definitely not supposed to be sold. If you found some for sale on the Internet, 1) I'd want to know their original provenance, and 2) I'd pray for the person(s) selling it. Typically, you get these kinds of samaya sub...

Re: Visualisations and Dzogchen

Yes, however even though Yongdzin Rinpoche will give Dzogchen Teaching to those who have not yet done Tantra Ngondro, and even though he says that one can skip Yidam practice; he still says that in general his students should do the Tantric Ngondro and the Special Preliminaries of Dzogchen before mo...

Re: boring questions about losing weight

But it can be time-consuming and expensive depending on where you live, to get everything that you need for a raw carnivore diet; perhaps partially by design due to the vegan agenda and the monsanto/factory-farming agenda. The only reason I can see for veganism or fruitarianism would be for a short ...

I would suggest that relating to Sangha is not restricted to formal Refuge.

The main thing is not causing problems with them; e.g. not fighting like cats & dogs.

Vigorous debate is sometimes okay; but I’ve seen an lot of blatant disrespect between Sangha members on these forums.

Re: The Third Jewel.

It has to do with the Refuge Field visualized. You visualize the Arya Sangha as part of the Refuge Tree in front of you, and your fellow Sangha members are taking Refuge in the Teachers, Buddhas, Dharma, and Arya Sangha with you (i.e. you see the Sangha members as next you, not in front of you) toge...

Yongdzin Rinpoche says that you should start with Tantric Ngondro, then after that you may/can skip Yidam practice and move onto the Special Preliminaries of Dzogchen and then onto the Main Practices. Chögyal Namkhai Norbu Rinpoche said that you can skip Tantric Ngondro and start with the Special Pr...

Re: boring questions about losing weight

Check out the Obesity Code, by Dr. Fung. Pretty compelling, to me at least. Interesting. I just noticed that Dr. Fung is sometimes featured on Dr. Paul Mason’s channel that I posted above. No single one of these guys has all the puzzle pieces; for example the Snake Diet guy mentioned by Madhusudan ...

Re: boring questions about losing weight

Increasing your intake of potassium and magnesium to abnormally high levels will just screw with your body's ability to absorb other minerals (with magnesium it will effect calcium absorption) and since these minerals are water soluble, your body will just piss away the excess. In other words: A wa...

Re: boring questions about losing weight

Intermittent fasting isn’t an diet like keto, paleo, vegan, etc., because it doesn’t dictate what you can or can’t eat. It’s just something you do to get your body into fat burning mode, and is said to increase HGH levels. Of course it would be best to combine intermittent fasting with a high prote...

Re: boring questions about losing weight

If you're willing to completely change your lifestyle and relationship with food, check out Snake Diet. Sounds gimmicky, but works for real. Haha That guy’s awesome. I found the purest potassium chloride I could find; but even so, I don’t quite trust that it’s not derived from an process that uses ...

Re: Dalai Lama commends New Zealand prime minister and gun law reform

Jerafreyr, I more or less agree. At the same time, the Dalai Lama has to be very diplomatic in the things he says for the sake of Tibet and of Dharma; because when he speaks, many are listening. I see much of what he says to the clueless ‘masses’, as expedient or skillful means, not always definitiv...
