Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

still no one will even admit to what i mean by adjective... Because I don't think anyone knows what you mean by "adjective" in the way you are using it, as per my last post to you. sunyata is a tree sunyata , can you see how the grammar , sunyata being a view ...being used as an adjectati...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

sadly i got emotional... i see Tibetan buddhism being ripped apart.. it has become very sectarian once again and various sects are using various teachings to combat their cause. the followers are being caught up in it.. Inadvertently i've stepped into into here in this thread from the get go. The me...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

when people use it as an adjective it is actually making it impossible for the student to understand what Sunyata is. Nagarjuna explains it a bit more clearly than you are.. Whatever is dependently co-arisen That is explained to be emptiness. That, being a dependent designation Is itself the middle...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

yes the tree is devoid of inherent existence ...empty in other words...sunyata is not an adjective... it is a philosophy.. It's not a philosophy, it's a nature... http://sanskritdictionary.com/?iencoding=iast&q=Sunyata&lang=sans&action=Search शून्यता śūnyatā f. emptiness, loneliness, de...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

I Processes, too, including Karma and dependent origination, are completely equivalent with Sunyata. it's like yeah !!!Karma is empty of inherent existence..like i said anything anyone can come up with .but you seem to insist on using Sunyata as an adjective.. thats like you don't get it...your twi...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

I know about your presentation of Sunyata as "lack of inherent existence." That is a partial and incomplete understanding. "Inherent Existence" is a conceptual, "second-order" existence. Your teachers have taught a presentation which allows for a qualified existence fo...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

http://www.cttbusa.org/heartsutra/heartsutra.htm Shariputra, form does not differ from emptiness; emptiness does not differ from form. Form itself is emptiness; emptiness itself is form. So, too, are feeling , cognition, formation, and consciousness. It would really be beneficial to read the Sunyat...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

Therefore, to say feeling is not sunyata is incorrect, in the absolute sense it actually is a grave karmic offense to teach Sunyata to anyone without knowing it. sunyata is not feeling...to say that is so off the mark... but if like i tried to explain one says.... sunyata teaches that even feeling ...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

Emptiness is matter, because there is no emptiness apart from matter. There is no thing "emptiness" existing on it's own, apart from form, feeling, etc. At all times, in all ways, phenomena and emptiness are primordially identical. All conditioned phenomena are empty. Therefore, one can i...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

the matter is empty is ok but emptiness is matter ...misses the mark...it could be an interpretation thing...but you can say emptiness is empty but not take a thing and say emptiness is a toy..or a dishwasher...it misleads the person... Emptiness is matter, because there is no emptiness apart from ...

Yes, I understand this, and I also feel it is not merely a "view" but can also be experienced. However, it is not a thing. Some people apparently feel otherwise. interesting ...can you tell us what the experience is...or what made you think it can be experienced in some way... i'm curious...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

well, if it is nothing other than emptiness, what is this emptiness? A tree, for example, is empty as well. Is this emptiness also Buddha Nature? As for your "very subtle mind" which you appear to equate with the Developing Potential, is it empty? If so, is it a different emptiness than t...

Re: if we are Buddhas are we the 3 Kayas

Actually, the text says quite literally, "matter is empty, emptiness is matter." It is an identity proposition, just as Nāgārjuna famously states: Samsara isn't the slightest bit different from nirvana; nirvana isn't the slightest bit different from samsara; whatever is the limit of nirva...
