With "Not being a book person" i mean not living according to books. It doesn't mean disregarding books.

Books are very useful for checking and comparing, but are a very bad fundament for living.

Re: Vajrayana in the spectrum

Do you believe it is possible to be "cured" (if one wants to get rid of it) from Autism like many other health conditions by Tibetan medicine or different buddhist practices for better health? Or is it more like trying to regrow a missing part of the body? Thank you in advance for your th...

Re: Kuntuzangpo prayer

if you hear and follow the explanation from someone who actually knows the primordial state you will awake in 3 lifetimes. it's the way i connected to atiyoga btw, that's how i know that. And just by hearing the prayer, without following an explanation from someone who knows the primordial state? V...

Re: Personal account of Shine

There is only one way to reach the fourth vision, it takes a lot of discipline. In Dzogchen when it is said that it is non-gradual that means that the fruit is introduced at the beginning right. , not that practice is not necessary. not right. In the same way when it is said Dzogchen is effortless ...

Re: Kuntuzangpo prayer

Your level of faith determines the level of benefits you receive. If you see the Guru as a Buddha, then you will get the benefits from listening to this aspiration prayer the same as hearing Buddha recite it. If yu see the Guru as an ordinary person, you get the benefits of hearing an ordinary pers...

Re: Avalokitesvara Boddhisatva mahasatva

Hi everyone, I would just like to ask if you believe in Avalokitesvara bodisattva. I used to believe in him but I never got help from him. Is that because I didn’t follow the precepts or because maybe he doesn’t exist? Thanks hi, yes, maybe the help you asked wasn't the kind of help you can receive...

Re: My last will and testament

Yep, time to rewrite it. The actuarial tables give me an expectancy of 12 more years. Now my wife is not a Buddhist, but is very sympathetic, and I trust her to deal with my dharma stuff responsibly. The statistical expectation is that she will outlast me. But I might outlast her, and I want to see...

Re: Vajrayana in the spectrum

what they know about autism? nothing. only what a book can tell. I don’t undtstand what this means. Other way of saying it is that the condition can only be speculated by the vast mayority. Like sugar... in order to know it you have to taste it. Imagine making discourse about something you don't kn...

Re: Stagnant sanghas, teachers not teaching

That's because I didn't write the whole story. I got up to the point where I would have to start including things about my Dharma brothers and sisters. Since most of them are still alive, I don't feel comfortable with that. Perhaps more to the point, I have no interest in doing that. Please Lama Pe...

i think so. but it is already edited. no problem. Ohh, that is amazing, how did you achieve that? Did you have to flag the post somehow, or did the moderators noticed it and fixed it by themselves? I am quite new here, still trying to find out how things work. Thanks Jacobcz leftside of the quote b...

The fact that you got instantly enlightened doesn’t show much in your post Javier, I assume Thogal is a waste of time also? Methods exist for a purpose, is not "the only way". If you really think there's a final realization, go ahead. There is only one way to reach the fourth vision, it t...

I do some of the conventional things because i want to. I was never requested nor conditioned to do any of them. That does not answer my question, but I did not expect an answer, nor do I particularly want one. My question was largely rhetorical. They are realized beings Greg. I don't expect them t...

Who told you that atiyoga cannot be embarked upon as a gradual approach? My root guru didn't taught me anything gradual. The ChNN didn't presented atiyoga as gradual. I have no proof for it to be gradual either. On the contrary i have proof it isn't. It has nothing to do with a "step by step&q...
