Re: Petition to officially recognise Jonangpa lineage
If you wish to support their claim for recognition, you can do so by signing the petition at the following link: Thanks for bringing this up! Yes, this is a major issue and I would encourage everyone to sign the petition. Jonang lamas have even attempted self-immolation and hunger strikes about thi...

Re: Kuntuzangpo prayer
if you hear and follow the explanation from someone who actually knows the primordial state you will awake in 3 lifetimes. it's the way i connected to atiyoga btw, that's how i know that. And just by hearing the prayer, without following an explanation from someone who knows the primordial state ? ...

Re: The concept of a root guru
I have been researching the concept of a root guru and whether it even makes sense. An example is the subjectivity in defining the root guru, as a quote from the fixed topic of this forum section: According to the traditions of Sakya, Gelug and Jonang, a root guru is anyone from whom one has receiv...

Re: How to recite mantra loudly continuously (also during inhalation)?
If you still want to do it perfect you can learn a physical yoga, like yantra yoga, to attain control of your breath and apply concurrently with deity yoga. I do Yantra yoga from ChNNR every second day. And the days in-between (also every 2nd day) I do a trulkhor from a Namchö lineage. The trulkhor...

Re: How to recite mantra loudly continuously (also during inhalation)?
Advice would be to coordinate your breathing into it so your visualization can be stable, so it doesn't bother you. This is actually why I am asking this question. It sort of bothers me that the sound is so different during exhalation and during inhalation, it is a bit distracting and I seem to be ...

Also, Ganesha is a name, many beings can be named the same.
Also many elephant headed beings can be named that way, but are name given by people.

I've been doing humming and undervoice recitation that way for years.
Chanting i find it impractical to do it that way.

Re: Dzogchen practice in Dorje Drolo cycle
Some cycles are more some less detailed, but practice is same. Not really. Actually, in Dzogchen, trekchö is the practice that shows the most variants, some of which are rather very distinct from others. For instance, in certain Bön cycles, Trekchö refers to "instructions on the View" (lt...

Re: Was karmamudra part of ganachakra in the ancient India?
I had a brief sexual relationship with an uninitiated person (who may or may not qualify as an actual sociopath), and I'm pretty sure he did not suffer from it in the slightest. Even if one doesn't engage the practice in its full form, I cannot imagine how a non-Buddhist spouse wouldn't benefit fro...

Re: A geometric analogy for understanding emptiness. Is it valid?
Segments in a straight line have non-zero lengths but all of them have zero area i.e. they are "empty" when viewed as embedded in 2-dimensional plane. Similarly, all 2-dimensional shapes viewed as embedded in 3 dimensions appear as zero-volume entities, although in their own plane of 2 di...
