Is anyone else having terrible connection with the current webcasts?

They are impossible to follow, it stops completely a few seconds after refreshing.
It's quite bad, unfortunately.

(DC) Jñanadakini Thugthig questions

Anyone familiar with this practice - I could use some help with the visualisations and mudras. Any advice would be very appreciated.

Re: TIPS? ADVICE? Leaving one sangha, looking for another, interested in Tergar/Mingyur

I think it is a good idea to start with the Joy of Living program (especially level 1 and 2). Mingyur Rinpoche said many times that this is not a course only for beginners. In fact, I can say many years later that practically all those teachings are part of Mahamudra. Basically, you get everything ...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Yeah, collective practices are far, far, more a challenge than stand alone practices, because one have to deal with our own ego in it's most. Most practitioners must have experienced this. You know, the is someone you don't like, someone you like, etc. and you have to do your best to contemplate in...

Re: Dzogchen Community - Arya Tara Practice Question

It is not necessary to visualise the mantra. This is explained by ChNNR on page 88 (second paragraph) of the Tara practice book.

Nyoshul Khenpo's book on the history of Dzogchen will have some information.
Nyoshul Khenpo's book is amazing! And yes, it has three sentences about Zhonnu Pawo Tobden.

Re: Cherish me as supreme

HHDL recounts a story of a monk who had been imprisoned by the Chinese for many years. When he eventually was able to leave Tibet, he went to HHDL's monastery in Tibet. HHDL was talking with him one day and asked the monk if he encountered any dangers in prison, and the monk replied, "yes, there we...

Re: Prayer to Namgyalma

I don't practice Gelug. I hadn't heard of Namgyalma until browsing the FPMT online store. The beautiful circular design caught my eye... and it's free to download! I have this same image framed and hung above my front door! I don't practice Gelug either but I'm drawn to Namgyalma. I believe she's a...

Re: The Self-Arisen Vidya Tantra and The Self-Liberated Vidya Tantra A Translation of the Rigpa Rang Shar and Rigpa Rang

Noob question: Where can I learn more about this Buddha "Powerful Heroic Youth" (Gzhon nu Dpa' bo stobs ldan) - which I'm guessing is Shyönnu Pawo Tobden, sixth of the 12 founding Dzogchen masters? Are there any literatures that explain more about this Buddha and his nirmanakaya field? I'm still mak...

(DC) Personal retreat advice

Could I have some advice about how one goes about doing a personal retreat? I have a couple of practice books that provide some info / instructions but firsthand experience would be very helpful as well. Things to prepare, best practices, time management, etc. Appreciate any help whatsoever. :anjali:

I'm slowly making my way through the first few chapters but the significance of this translation is abundantly clear already. A study group on this text would be awesome actually :D This is a great idea. What would be a good way to start this? http://tsegyalgar.org/localcenters/tsegyalgareast/tsegya...

Re: Dzogchen Community of Chogyal Namkhai Norbu

Mods, please delete my previous post. It was a mistake on my part to post this here as it's clearly a cause of discomfort and anxiety. The last thing I want is to be the source of discord among vajra siblings. Apologies to everyone for this. Tonnes of Vajrasattva purification for me the next few day...
