Re: How to Train the Stubborn Mind?

When one's mind is very hard and intense with materialism, mundanity, hatred, and so forth, and certain practices against this are only limited within a time, how else can one train the mind into concentration and so forth? I'm afraid the misuse of antidotes may have become useless against the pois...

Re: Chod Damaru vs standard Damaru

If one, understand certain circumstances, can't buy a damaru, can they use a substitute like a different drum(such as Korean Janggu)? Or no need and just do the prayers?

Re: Can you see the A?

Anyway, back to topic what is the answer? I take it that it is not the aleph? א I think Tenma is going for the Tibetan a, ཨ Oh, that does look like the picture. I had to paste in Word and enlarge it to see it. Oh well, the aleph was pretty close too. Passel's image may have ended up as the source f...

Re: Can you see the A?

Yep! Those are the only "Hebrew" words I know. Actually, you know much more, but just didn't realize it until now when I tell you some more: Amen Hallelujah Satan Sabbath (although pronounced a little different as Shabbat in hebrew) All of the above are originally hebrew words, but adopted and used...

Re: Korean home altar

Isn't Jesa more a confucian thing than Buddhist? But I'm also curious, the closest thing I've seen resembling a buddhist home altars in Korea are the ones that are quite elaborate, but in Shamanic lodges instead of houses! https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&source=images&cd=&cad=rja&uact=8&ved=2ahUKEw...
